Services
Kristy graduated from St. Lawrence College in 2005 as a Veterinary Technologist and has worked within the field of veterinary medicine since. She grew up in Mississippi Mills on a family farm and enjoys horseback riding, reading, stained glass, camping, kayaking and spending time with family (it's huge!).
Michelle was born and raised in Almonte and joined our team in the summer of 2013. Michelle has a Bachelor of Social Work from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. Aside from working part-time here with us at MMAH, Michelle works as a teacher for the UCDSB.
The hospital provided a water station, some yummy dog snacks and information on ticks and Lyme Disease. We are very proud to announce that the Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital has donated over $1000 to LAWS (the Lanark Animal Welfare Society) so far. The money was raised by our generous clients that made a donation to LAWS with every nail trim.
Behavioural issues are the number one reason young pets are given up to shelters or euthanized. Fortunately, many of these issues can be significantly improved with the help of a veterinarian. At the Mississippi Miils Animal Hospital our veterinarians can help you and your pet work through many behavioural issues including house soiling, anxiety, aggression issues and compulsive disorders such as tail chasing and flank sucking.
Few pets show obvious signs of dental disease. It is up to the pet's family and veterinarian to uncover this hidden and often painful condition. At the Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital our veterinarians will do a thorough examination of your pet's mouth to look for signs of periodontal disease, such as gingivitis (inflammation or infection of the tissues around the tooth), tartar, loose or abscessed teeth, and/or other abnormalities.

Only have positive things to say about Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital. When our lizard, Spike, needed some emergency care, the team at Mississippi Mills were friendly, efficient, caring and professional. Dr Auger went above and beyond. Highly recommend Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital for your reptile.

I had to take my rat in for a lump, they booked an appointment for him super fast and where amazing. Excellent care, told me exactly what was going on with as much information as they had and gave him medication to hopefully help. I highly recommend them. Ill definently be going there again for my rats if needed!

Very professional and efficient. I feel confident taking my dogs there.
The doctor took her time explaining what was wrong with my dog, what could be the causes and what it should be the treatment for any of them.
They adapt pretty well to the new situation, and they have good measures to help social distance.
I highly recommend them.

Definitely the place to go if you have a reptile. We brought our juvenile 4 month old bearded dragon here. The staff and doctor are great. In the middle of the pandemic they fit us in on Christmas Eve. Everything was handled safely and professionally. Well worth the drive to see a specialist like Dr Auger and his staff.

They have been so accommodating with us and our new puppy. She had a few issues and they squeezed us into their schedule knowing that I was concerned (she a tiny puppy). They went out of their way and provided me with assistance by phone while I was shopping for a certain cough medicine to ensure I got the correct one. Professional and knowledgeable staff!

The best experience at a vet I've ever had. Was not put down for feeding Big Country Raw or pressured into switching food. Have had very bad experiences at other vets for feeding raw, but had no issues here. I highly recommend Dr. Auger. He really took his time with my dog. I will be suggesting this clinic to everyone I come across.
