Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic was designed with our clients in mind. Its structural design creates a stress-free environment for your family pet(s) by having separate areas for cats and dogs, an isolation ward to protect those that are ill, and large exam rooms to accommodate families and their pets.
When the concept of Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic was conceived, our vision was to become Dufferin County's first American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited practice. But what does this mean? AAHA is a prestigious association that sets intensive quality-control standards against which to measure veterinary practices.
Congratulations on becoming a first-time pet owner! Along with the excitement and happiness that a new pet brings into the home, a new pet also comes with a huge responsibility. Whether you recently got a new puppy/kitten or adopted a pet in-need of their forever home, Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic is here to help you navigate your experience as a dog or cat owner.
Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic is a full service practice that provides treatment for companion animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, exotics and pocket pets) equine, as well as small and large farm animals. We are one of the first practices to receive AAHA accreditation here in Orangeville, Ontario. We are also accredited by the CVO for companion animal hospital and companion animal mobile practice.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
Very professional. Exceptional service. Over and above in every respect. All staff clearly love animals. And if that isn't enough, I noticed that they grow squash, dill and milkweed (for monarchs) in their ornamental garden!!

Thank you to the wonderful staff who cared for our bulldog when he was so sick. They were prompt and thorough, and offered various options as the course of his illness changed. Drs Shining and Lisa genuinely care about your pet and the staff treat him like a rockstar - you know things are good when your dog doesn't want to leave the office to go home!

The staff are all very friendly and treat our pup with so much love and care. We especially appreciate how they call to check up on her after her appointments and how quickly they respond with any questions or concerns that we have. During this pandemic it was especially hard to entrust and leave her there at first, but our fear was quickly put at ease after the first time. She now loves seeing them when we drop her off and is relaxed and not stressed out coming home which means so much to us.

Critical: Reliability
After a couple previous "mistakes" we had decided to have our dog neutered elsewhere. When the new clinic called to obtain our dogs records we all of a sudden didn't exist in the "system". Our experience was definitely sub-par.

We have been with this clinic for nearly 2 years and sadly had more than one issue and today was the final straw when we went to get our dogs' medication which we were told was ready for pickup days ago. When we arrived it was not ready and they prepped it for us and we came back to pick it up later. The labels on the boxes advised it was for the right meds and after giving our dogs their pills we discovered our one dog was given medication for something else entirely (flea and tick instead of deworming) and for a weight category that was twice his size. The clinic did not apologize once for their

I am a first time patient with my newly adopted 3 month old sphynx kitten to this vet. While it seemed to be an obvious choice because of how close we live to fifth avenue, but we heard amazing things from friends. The way Percy (my kitten) and the paperwork were handled were amazing-no worried whatsoever about COVID bylaws and such. As well-the vet came out after the other vet tech had CALLED me from inside yo say how Percy was doing and essentially how he was taking his shots and such. The vet that came out was so sweet and very personable. I am very happy with my choice to come here and look

I moved back to Orangeville recently and started using this vet. They were great; always friendly and helpful. They’ve performed surgery on my dog, and have helped with prescribing anti-tick and heartworm medications. However, around the start of Covid-19 I had an unpleasant experience. My dog was peeing in the house which was extremely uncommon. We were working from home so the dog was outside ever other hour. We called this location and they advised to collect a urine sample and drop it off at the door. So we collected the sample, they told us to drop the bag with the sample in the entrance

I called this morning to see if the clinic was accepting new patients and was able to be seen the same day. Staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Dr. Lisa was amazing and wasn't at all pushy or in a rush. I'm very happy that I called them and would recommend them to others.

Staff is always so friendly, caring and knowledgeable. My one cat is very unlucky and has required a few overnight stays there and I'm very confident leaving him in their care knowing that they will give him the best treatment. I truly feel that they care about my cats and always has their best interests at heart. Also it is the cleanest vet office I've ever seen.

We recently moved to the Orangeville area and switched to Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic. The difference in service and knowledge was night and day compared to our old vet. Our dog suffers from repeated ear infections and they were able to take a swab, analyze it, and treat the specific problem all within one visit. His old vet would just give him a hodgepodge of “blanket” medication and never took the time to make sure he was only receiving medication that he really needed. The care and compassion here is truly remarkable. The clinic is impeccably clean and modern and literally every staff
