Richard obtained a major in Economics at the University of Waterloo, and his law degree from the University of Western Ontario. Richard Articled for the former Mr. Justice C. Speyer and Mr. Justice C. Osborne in 1971, and was called to the bar in 1973. Stephen obtained his law degree from Queens University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1978.

He joined as an associate to Richard P. Startek in 1995. I was at this office today, needed a letter stamped and signed by a lawyer. The receptionist suggested that Steve will get that done for me. Steve came up to me without even asking how I was and how my day was going(not that I care). He had a "better" question ARE YOU VACCINATED he said. I told him NO(even though I received my booster yesterday). And he responded by telling me I'M NOT GOING TO SIGNED THE LETTER. Anyways it was important so I get it done today and they called up another lawyer who will not discriminate and who is against mandates(that's what he said).He signed the letter and I explained

I have to I would and have recommended Richard Startek Jr. to anyone. He handled my custody case with such care and ease that it made the hardest thing in my life seem like the easiest I never felt more comfortable with a place and person as I have here. I went to 3 different places and was told it wasn't possible or it would cost over 10 grand and yet when I came to see Richard Startek Jr he assured me that it was possible to get what I was looking for and it would be within my budget. I wouldn't call anyone else if I had something important that I needed help with.

If there was a zero, I would give Startek jr a zero. Their secretaries screen phone calls. He never returns phone calls or emails. You have to book an appointment for him to answer even just one question ( I guess just to get their $250/hr charge). He never gives advice, just say yes to what you ask but never do it anyways. I ask for accounting of hours worked but never gave me any. Just deducted an exorbitant fee from the trust money he held for me. I went to a different lawyer from a big law firm out of frustration. He got me the results I wanted in half the time that Startek work with no results

I have dealt with these lawyers on several occasions and was thoroughly happy with their services. Their assistants and secretary are always friendly. The man with the issues posted previously obviously gave them a reason to not be treated as they would normally treat their clients. I would highly recommend their services.
