Song Cook's is a lovely, family-run Korean restaurant with a traditional, old-fashioned vibe. I came here recently with a table of 4. We had a young male server and an older lady server and both were equally sweet and provided us with friendly service. There's traditional seating on the side but that was sadly closed off at the time of our visit (visited during pandemic times).

They have quite an extensive menu so it was difficult to narrow down or choices but we ultimately decided on JjajangMyun, KhanPoongKi, JokBahl, and Spicy Donkatsu. These are all pretty popular Korean dishes but

The braised short ribs are good, flavours and textures are both great!
Price is reasonable and service is attentive.
However the side dishes are limited and not interesting.
Lots of parking space.

Service was excellent, staff was helpful in accommodating dietary restriction. The food was delicious. Proportional portions, decent price, fresh ingredients. the short rib Kalbi Dish was mouth watering. Although I didn't order it, I did get a chance to taste it. When I return this will definitely be the first thing I order.

Decent Korean restaurant.
The server, who seemed to be the manager, was very friendly and nice.
The side dishes are nice.
The soups were good, but the proteins were overcooked and dry.
Their brown rice is very delicious.

My brother was craving Korean food so decided to take him to one of my favourites! I hadn't been here in so long and was excited to see how the place had changed. The host was pleasant and screened us at the entrance, and reminded us about their policies. We found that the tables were well spaced out; we felt safe dining in there!

Food is still as good as ever. Will be back when the cravings hit again!

Would very highly recommend based on both the caliber of the food and customer service. It’s very apparent that the team here is focused on providing a strong customer experience and are extremely attentive and accommodating.
I think they provide a good range of authentic/traditional dishes as well as those who are looking for the more modern flavours. Quality of the food was excellent and would highly recommend any of the dishes we had.
I think what really differentiates them from others is their exceptional service. The staff had excellent recommendations on food and drinks and even let us

Excellent covid protocol for dine in. Lots of spaces between tables. Sad to see it not nearly as busy as before. Food still very good. Had the sweet and sour pork (tong su yuk), seafood noodle soup (jampong) and cold noodle. All good! And they did away with paper menu...All digital so would need to scan code to read the menu on your phone. Also no more set dinner:(. We used to always order those as better value but needed 6+ people to finish…

I dined here a few times years ago and enjoyed it, but my latest experience was the worst experience I ever had. We ordered jajangmyeon, gamjatang, and a few other dishes. Couldn't finish anything, rice was cold, and the servers were extremely slow and inattentive. They took over 20 minutes to get our order, we waited over 45 minutes for food, and another 10 minutes for the bill when there were only two other customer tables.

This Korean restaurant is great! Good prices, good portions and tasty food.

We ordered takeout via phone and it took around 20-25mins to be ready when we ordered at 5:45pm on a Tuesday.

We got the seafood soondubu chigae ($10.99), champong ($11.99) and ddukbokki & ramyun noodle ($10.99). The soondubu was delicious. The tofu was so soft and fresh, and they gave a decent amount of seafood and veggies with it. The champong was so tasty. I love how it wasn't too spicy so you could still taste the good flavour. The noodles in it were also very fresh, and there was plenty of seafood. This

Amazing Korean food and my usual go-to. I have been here a number of times, but a first since the reopening. They did seem to be short staff with only one waitress on board, but hopefully that will change soon. Service was still quick and nice!

*** MUST EAT - TORONTO'S BEST JAJANGMYEON ***
I came here specifically for jajangmyeon and this was the only place from friends and foodies that said had the best jajangmyeon, to my surprise, they were right!
their jajangmyeon prepares in house noodles and the sauces used are so deep in flavor, I ate the jajangmyeon in one sitting, I didn't stop because it was that good!
PROS
• this place is kind of hidden in the back corner of a business building, but there's lots of parking
• delicious Korean food!
• interior design inside is hella authentic, I'm from out of town so it would of been

Staff was friendly but they lack set items that just come with everything like soup, rice and a main. I ordered the bulgogi and it was good, portion could be a bit bigger but overall the taste was on point. It ended up running me about 20$ a person without drinks.

My friend and I came on a Friday evening around 5:00PM and the restaurant was basically empty. However, this was great for us because we had our pick of the many nice tables in the restaurant and the servers were attentive.

The food was also very good. Though there weren't as many sides as other Korean restaurants, the food, itself, was very good. The portions were big and my friend and I were super full afterwards. My friend, who comes here often, said she always has the Gamjatang (note it does not come with rice unlike other places). They were very generous with the amount of pork given

Just like all other Korean restaurants.

Black bean noodles are really good, must try.
Sea food noodle is very spicy.
Pancake is good and also expensive.
Bone soup is really good and worth to try.

Will come back . But maybe not the best Korean restaurant on my list.

Atmosphere: 4/5
Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Overall: 3.5/5

Really enjoyed the food here for the most part. I was disappointed that they didn't have my all time fav Korean side dish of glazed potatoes but their kimchi was extremely authentic and fresh. I came here with a group of 5 people on a Saturday night around 8pm and they weren't super busy (I've heard it does get really busy during peak hours though). The service was initially quite fast and they seated us and took our orders quickly, but after the food arrived they didn't check up on us even once. We had to always wave someone

Delicious jajangmyeon (noodles topped with meat sauce) and champong (seafood soup)! I got is as a combo and both were great. I came with a bunch of other stuff: kimchi, pickled radish etc. Very filling and great value for the money. The portion was huge too, could've easily been enough for 2 ppl.

My gf got wings and noodles I think they were good too. I did a takeout so can't comment on the service, but would definitely order from them again

The place is huge, and the food taste is really good. One item I felt really special is the cold noodle soup. They said there is mashed ice in the soup. If really with the ice in it, it would be freezing cold. I told them not to put the ice in the soup, but still wanna try the cold noodle soup. When it served on the table, the temperature was cold, but no ice, and taste is still good. We also ordered the short ribs, but it was a little pricey tho. Overall, it's good place to go. And Check-ins in front of the server, you will get 1 free pop.

Spacious restaurant in K-town, but pricey for the dishes served.

Service: The staff were very friendly and courteous, but never got around to refilling our tea even though there were quite a few around.

Food: The complimentary banchan/side dishes were decent, although all of them had similar flavours (i.e. generally sour/tart and a little spicy). The bean sprouts were refreshing, and the kimchi was decent. It would have been nice if there was a sweet potato dish or japchae. The sundubu-jigae (spicy soft tofu stew) was a bit sour for my liking, but it was a decent portion and also included an

Came here to try to their galbijjim, a Korean braised short ribs dish. We got the small order for $26. It was really tender, had a nice flavor and came with a braised carrot and daikon. It felt like comfort food, and you definitely need to get a side of rice with it ($2.50). The only negative with the dish is it is a pretty small portion and not quite worth the price. I had the best galbijjim in LA and will continue to look for a worthy one in Toronto!

We also ordered their deep fried sweet and sour chicken. The batter was too thick so you couldn't really taste the chicken, just felt like

A great spot for some traditional Korean food! I especially enjoy the traditional seating are with heated floors on the right side of the restaurant--so comforting during the cold winter months.

We arrived here on a Friday evening, having made reservations in-advance. Without reservations, we would've had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. The restaurant was very busy and the serves were running around without a particular order to the madness. Nevertheless, we were able to order right away. When we asked for the drinks menu, however, the waiter seemed to forget about it and only brought

The menu has "changed". At least the graphics and look and feel looks newer! I'm not sure if prices when up/down/same with the new menu-but in my experience new menus mean higher prices :)

Like usual, the food is good and portions are decent. The only annoyance is that the pork bone soup and other soup dishes require an extra order of rice (additional $4).

I've been to Song Cooks over a dozen times since they have opened and they have had consistently tasty, well prepared and presented food over those visits. The most recent visit was even better than usual, perhaps due to less stress from a more manageable amount of customers.
The black bean noodle and fried chicken was generous in portion and delicious. The side dishes were refilled without a problem. The price is a little higher than some other places, but you get what you pay for here.
It's roomy inside with regular seating and also Korean style seating where you sit on a heated platform pretty

There weren't a lot of customers at lunch time on a Wednesday. The servers were attentive but not overbearing. We had a couple questions about the menu and they were able to point us in the right direction.

The ginseng chicken soup was refreshing on a hot day. The small portion of the dumplings (mandu) had about 10 so keep that in mind when you're ordering. I love the sauces that come with the pork belly. I could almost just eat that on its own haha.

Don't forget to check in for a free pop.

Came here for my birthday with a group of friends. I love korean food and chose this place due to the high reviews. Upon walking in, the venue was a lot classier than what we were expecting. It was also extremely spacious with a variety of different seating options.

The appetizer that came were radish served in 3 different ways as well as kimchi. Someone unique was the radish thinly sliced into squares and served with soya sauce (+ vinegar + oil). It was very sour.

We got the Beef short ribs as recommended by my friend, rice cakes, and fresh noodles (Sorry, I don't remember the exact names

I absolutely love this restaurant; it is my go-to place for whenever I am craving Korean food!! It's super authentic, service is extremely friendly, and food always tastes fantastic!!

I ordered the seafood jajangmyun and from that first bite... I was in bliss, cloud nine, paradise!! The jajang flavour was just right and not too salty. Also, the noodles were made fresh in the restaurant and it had the perfect balance of chewy and soft. Quite frankly, I think I ordered this dish solely because of its awesome noodle; I will note that they also use this noodle in their champong (seafood noodle

Was looking for a new place to get some Korean food and came across this place. Came here on a Monday on Boxing Day and decided on this place. From the outside, it just looks to be a place at the end of a plaza, but upon waking in you are presented with an entirely different atmosphere. For seating, it looks like there are two available options. There is the traditional sit down where you sit cross-legged at a table raised from the floor, have your shoes down on the floor. Or they have regular table seating which is what I opted for.
The wait time wasn’t too bad. Took about 10-15 minutes with
