Carleton Veterinary Services and Lanark Veterinary Clinic are full-service veterinary medical facilities, located in North Gower, and Smith Falls, Ontario. Where heart and medicine come together for the benefit of pets, their people, and our community. This clinic is in North Gower, south of the Ottawa capital, and originally opened in 2002. The clinic has gone through many medical advancements in the years since the new building was finished. Digital x-ray (installed in 2010) allows us to quickly take an x-ray, have the veterinarian review it and form a plan.

Originally the clinic started out as only one unit in the building and in 1998 the clinic expanded into the building unit beside it, doubling in size.
Born and raised in Vitoria -ES Brazil, Haerishton is son and brother of Veterinarians and a graduate in Veterinary Medicine from Federal Rural. Bring my dog to this vet for ear infection doesn't even look in ear only swabs. Says in paperwork discharge but doesn't tell me anything. Lies to me over the phone months later!!! The doctor apparently owns the clinic. That being said this is the worst service in 35 years any animal of mine has ever received.
A big shout out to kemptville Veterinary clinic For taking great care of my dog and fixing The simple problems that North Gower could not.

I just want to make a comment here and hope that the people that work there see it. We appreciate you and the effort you guys are putting forth. I was in this evening with my pup and the dr literally sat on… the floor and spent what I considered an unnecessary (but appreciated) amount of time discussing the problem with my dog. Thank you for not making us feel like you guys are the “oil changers” of the vet world. “Cooper” thanks you too.

Haven't taken my dog there for years since they tried to charge me $800 to a simple measurement of a leg bone for an operation they intended to charge me $1500 for. Did the mesurement myself and ordered leg braces on the net. Dog was up and running after 3 months and never looked back. Recently, against my recommendation to use them, they charged my daughter for close to $1,000 to diagnose and treat for an ear infection with her dog. When nothing they prescribed worked, I gave her my 12 year old prescription for swimmers ear, after 2 doses, dogs ears are fine. He had been suffering for a couple

We adopted our dog from the Ogdensburg, NY pound. We continued to use the vet in Ogdensburg because they had treated our lab since she was a pup. However, the pandemic caused the bridge to the US to close. We asked our closest friends who they used for their pets. They recommend Carleton Veterinary Services. Unfortunately, Bella had aggressive bone cancer and we had to make the most difficult decision. The staff were professional, but most importantly, they were so very kind. We were able to do it outdoors as a family. We were not rushed.

I've been taking both my labs here for years and have always had great, professional and friendly service from the vets, vet techs and staff.
One of my dogs is now 12+ years and has had a number of health issues. Dr. Wicks has been so great at taking care of her, and also taking additional time to go through her care with me and making sure he's answered all my questions. You can tell he really cares about your pet's well-being! I drive 30 mins just to go to this clinic and couldn't be happier.

We received quick service with awesome supportive admin and medical staff. Reasonable prices and appropriate treatments were provided to our large dog. He came out happy and went in happier on the next appointment. Dogs don't lie. When they get treated right without owner present, they wag their tails the next time they see their vet office staff. Just great!
