One star is one star too many. Big 5 Exteriors has been a absolute nightmare to work with. Al is extremely rude, and unprofessional. He does terrible work, and when you ask him anything his remarks are uncalled for. For example "you paid for a cheap car, don't expect a Cadillac". I'm not sure if he is referring to his own workmanship as being cheap and unreliable, but that does make sense. If you need work done, please do not go with this company, they are expensive and also a headache. 0/5 would not recommend to my worst enemy.

What a joke! Complete waste of time. Don't deal with these fools.
I had the same issue with this company as the other 2 "unrecommended reviews" that are hidden - (you should read them).
We called and spoke to AL at approximately 8:30am, asked him to come to the house to take a look at the siding on the deck because it isn't installed properly and the deck is leaking. He said he would come over.
At 10:15am AL called, said he had come to the house, looked at the deck. Well - he DIDNT come to the house at all. We were at home and we have 2 dogs - if he had come to the house

My experience with Big 5 was very similar to the previous reviewer, Sol A. After waiting over a month for an estimate I called Big 5 back only to be told that they won't be doing the job, with no explanation given. I guess they figure customer service doesn't matter in a city as rapidly growing as Calgary.
Don't waste your time with these guys - give your business to someone who cares.
