Founded in 1952, Powell Jones LLP is an independent locally based accounting firm in Barrie that has been serving individuals and businesses throughout Barrie and Simcoe County for over 65 years. Services
The office occupied 250 square feet of space and cost $35 per month to rent. In the early days Art did everything from typing letters to answering telephone calls. The name of his firm was A.E. Powell, Chartered Accountant. Fifteen years later, in November of 1967, Larry Jones came to work for Art and in February of 1970 Larry and Art became Partners.
Each of the Partners brings a unique combination of education, background, and training that covers a wide range of industry experience. Their clients appreciate the proactive approach to planning and the timeliness of services provided. The partners are not only responsible for the development of the staff and practices of Powell Jones LLP but are committed to investing time and resources in support of the local community.
