Although the food was really ambitious and sometime a little unflavoured, the ambient atmosphere and amazing service made up for it! The drinks were really good! While I wouldn't go there on my own for the food, I would definitely go here for the drinks!
I got their mac and cheese and honestly this is what brought my review from 5/5 to 4/5. It didn't have too much flavour and I found that it was just a thin butter sauce with cheese curds mixed in. I would still go here, just not for this dish.

Ambience is 5/5. Food is 4/5. Service is 10/5. Loved the dining but the cocktails menu seemed a bit less of variation. Otherwise it's best place for a date or a family dine in. Perfect for holiday evening special meal. Though I would suggest to go on random off day as it gets a bit loud and crowded because of its popularity.

Local cuisine that is elegant and delicious but still fairly affordable. Their seasonal cocktails are interesting and fun (big fan of the Meredith Palmer - hope to see that one come back)! The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is casual yet upscale. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner!

Proof is easily the best food and experience in Waterloo Region. We have been on the patio twice in last two months and the atmosphere is amazing. The service we have had (Riz and then George) was very welcoming. Great attitudes and helpful with suggestions. The shining star here of course is the food. Great options and lots of creativity on the menu.

Excellent and friendly service and good food. The steaks are done very well and come with perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables. I recommend the Watermelon Blitz especially for a hot summer day. The patio is built very enclosed despite it being right beside a busy street with cars zipping by. Pleasant atmosphere, but the food could use slightly less salt overall.

Came here for date night and the food was great! The only thing to why I didn’t go all the way give it 5 stars was the service, something which felt lacking that night.
Overall, the place wasn’t too busy (covid restrictions), food came out in a timely manner and the drinks actually get you buzzin!
The steak and tacos are definitely filling, don’t think I would order the appetizer (was good tho) again unless we were super duper hungry
Hope they don’t get shut down from covid, it’s a great date night location located in the Delta hotel lobby :)

Came here last night for my queen's birthday dinner.
We enjoyed ourselves, despite the obvious restrictions, and lack of parking (had to park off property).
The service was friendly and very accommodating, the atmosphere was warm and relaxing.
The food was all tasty, with both of our steaks being done perfectly to both medium and medium-rare. We really enjoyed the salads, and the fries were well made, crispy on the outside and soft enough on the inside.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner, and we'll definitely return.

We have slowly been working our way through the Proof menu since Easter Sunday and have enjoyed every meal. The menu has a good choice of options, something for ever taste. We have never been disappointed in our choice, the portion size usually allows for lunch the following day. Door to door delivery is an added bonus. Recently we discovered salted caramel donuts...pure bliss! Thank you to all the staff and management who have provided such a bright spot in this trying time, we can't wait to see you all again soon.
