After attending the University of Waterloo, I bought a pick up truck and drove west, came across Fernie and fell in love with this small town. I knew that this was where I wanted to practice and I've been here ever since. The focus at Elk Valley Family Chiropractic is transforming health and empowering whole families to new levels of health and wellness in their lives.
Patients feel so comfortable in our family-centered practice and that has a lot to do with our amazing team members. Although somewhat new to chiropractic practices, Lauren has truly found joy in seeing clients progress and excel through regular chiropractic care. She sees each day as a learning opportunity and continually looks forward to sharing her knowledge with those around her.
We use a combination of adjusting techniques, we understand that one technique doesn't work for every person. The care you receive is designed specifically for you and your needs. We use techniques that clinically work best for your situation and your comfort level. An adjustment is only part of the healing process.
We do everything in our power to ensure we run on time for our patients. We explain everything in advance and want you to feel empowered to make the best decisions for your health goals. Please keep in mind that communications via email over the internet are not secure. Although it is unlikely, there is a possibility that information you include in an email can be intercepted and read by other parties or unauthorized individuals.
We can email your initial paperwork, or you can fill it out in our office upon your arrival. Your first visit to Elk Valley Family Chiropractic is designed and set up to help us uncover your health challenges and concerns. We do a pre-consultation to clarify any issues and expand on any concerns. Once the pre-consultation is complete, Dr. Mike Rumpel will begin the full physical examination.

I have been to a lot of chiropractors in my life and none have ever been as thorough as Dr Mike. Without a doubt one of the best if not THE BEST chiropractor I have ever been to. I highly recommend Dr Mike and his team. Very personable staff that welcomed me the moment I stepped through the door. I threw my back out while camping and they were able to squeeze me in to see me and I went to see Dr Mike two days in a row and he got me from barely able to walk to almost back to normal within two days. I just wish I lived in Fernie so he could be full time chiropractor!!

Clean and Welcoming environment. Looking forward to seeing some of the benefits from chiropractic care as I am a newbie! Dr. Mike and Lauren are great! I was impressed by the tests they do before any adjustments! I have scoliosis so I was nervous to try it out but I recommend anyone to give the office a call for an appointment !

I want to make a huge recommendation to Dr. Mike. My whole life I’ve been dealing with severe pain throughout my body, dealing with pain and swelling in various joints.
Nobody has taken the time to examine me the way he did, immediately I was able to tell him all of my problems from anxiety to extreme fatigue, to swelling and numbness throughout my hands. Lauren was able to run a bunch of tests and they were able to figure out the problem is coming from my neck.
For the first time in my life I don’t feel crazy, even after my doctor told me it’s just my depression that’s making everything

Dr Mike is a very knowledgeable Doctor. I have never experienced a consultation like I received from him and feel he is going to help me get better.
Dr Mike was very informative and explained in great detail my x-ray results.
I would definitely recommend him.

Dr Mike has been treating our family for over 15 years, including the care of the kids who first received their own adjustments in their first weeks of life.
