I have been at hair expressions since it opened. Barbara, the owner and hairstylist, is one of the loviest people I have ever met.
She is an exceptionally talented stylist. She is very receptive and understands exactly what I want done. She will make my hair look like the pictures I bring (within reason as hair texture and face shape obviously differ.) From styling to cutting to dying, she has been fabulous through them all. I would walk in blindfolded and tell her to do whatever she would like with my hair and I would be confident I would love whatever I walked out with.

I came to Hair Expressions because I've been unhappy with my previous hair stylist who wasn't listening to what I wanted and was applying a dark colour to my hair that I didn't like. Phoenix took the time to show me the colour swatches and together we picked the perfect blend of base/highlights for my hair. Phoenix took the time to explain why the colours we were looking at would work best on my hair. He even explained why he had so much faith in the products he was using.

I was visiting my daughter in Milton to attend a family wedding. She set up an appointment with Hair Expressions because this is the salon that she goes to and is very happy with both her hair and service. The lady (Marlene) that did my hair was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the whole time. She insinuated that the hairstyle I wanted was old fashioned and needed a change. I think she lost sight of the fact that I was the customer.
In the end the hair looked okay but the service was substandard.
I will never go back to this salon.

Marlene Santos is an incredibly talented hairstylist. An artist for sure. I travel from Toronto to have my hair styled by Marlene. I love my hair and always get so many comments to the point that people have asked for referrals. What I like about Marlene is that she knows what hair style suits a person , she is friendly and caring and my forever hair stylist. Love Marlene...Hair Expressions lucked out!!!! Mary Ann

Marlene Santos is simply the best hairstylist I have met - a true artist and gifted colourist. Marlene is always up-to-date on the latest colours and styles, and always makes excellent suggestions for fresh looks that suit her clients. Great experience with Basia :) .Awsome attention to detail and hose above and beyond to provide a great experience at the studio .Very helpful giving me advices about right color for my hair .I waked out feeling so beautiful and happy .Is easy to find good hairdresser but not easy to find amazing hairdresser like Basia is :).No one could do the right color for 7 years and she did !!! I can't say enough thanks to her

I went here last summer after being in a really bad place with my hair and I finally feel the need to say something about it. I had been processing my hair for a while and had some missing from the back of my head due to breakage (If you don't remember me I had the black and purple hair that had a bit missing from the back). Needless to say, I was pretty self conscious about my hair and I was scared to go to a salon because of what they would say about it or make me feel about it. Great staff & service at an affordable price.
What I don't appreciate are reviews posted on Google by anonymous users that may or may not have had a bad experience at this salon. If you're going to leave a review, whether it's positive or negative, make sure to own up to your comments. Otherwise, its obvious your just attempting to drive away new customers with inaccurate information.
