Originally from Thailand, owner Nid Chuthep and chef Porntep Ratanawit have been delighting Prince George with their authentic Thai food since 2006. The downtown location opened in 2017, bringing Mai Thai's delicious cuisine right to the heart of the city. The Mai Thai team is passionate about creating excellent food and a unique experience that will bring customers back, again and again.
Cabbage, ground pork, carrots and glass noodles wrapped in pastry, served with sweet chili garlic dip. Glass noodles and prawns with bell peppers, mushrooms and ginger fried in oyster sauce and served in a hot pot. Crispy vermicelli topped with special Thai sauce, pork, bell peppers, carrot and sweet basil.
Online orders placed on Mondays or Statutory holidays, will have its Order Date set for the next day Mai Thai is open, and considered a pre-order. You may change the pre-order to a date of up to 5 days. When you order through our online system and you have specific allergies, please make note of them as you complete your order in the Special Instructions field before you complete your order.

Went Friday night to dine in only to be turned away as they were flooded with take out orders. Owner asked us to come back Sunday night as it would be âdead quietâ and promised appy on the house. Just went back only to be turned away for the same reason again. The right thing to make it up would be to seat us anyways. Will NEVER return. Bad bad customer service. Disappointing.

Went to dine-in on Friday and the owner told us "Sorry there will be an hour wait, there is a whole lot of backup (approximately an hour) and we won't be able to serve you for a while. If you come back on Sunday, it's completely quiet here and I'll personally treat you to an appetizer on the house". Came back on Sunday and he told us the exact same story about how it was backed up and showed no courtesy towards us. Would NOT recommend ever visiting if you will be dining inside.

Not gourmet but, reasonable food. Not very inviting. May be it was the item âStir fry chickenâ that I had ordered. I expected a dry stir fry dish with vegetables and chicken. But it was runny.
May be, some other item would be more inviting. The salad was iceberg lettuce with sweet creamy dressing.

I love this place. However, lately, they have been slacking in terms of customer service and quality of the food. The past few times I've ordered here, they got my order wrong and tell me "it will be an hour". When I get there, my food is warm and you can tell it has been sitting there for awhile. Also, I order pork as my protein and they always give me chicken. I make the host read my order back and triple confirm and he never fails to give me the wrong protein. This time, they barely gave us any protein and there was no flavor.
