We are Premier Gems, a custom jewellery & appraisal studio that opened in Calgary in 2005. It is the realization of owner Jeff Nechka's passionate worldwide pursuit of gemology and design. Jeff's mastery of the art of gem and diamond cutting and established international connections in the best markets allow him to not only meet but exceed client expectations.
Next we look over images of jewellery and figure out what the inspiration is for your piece. We discussed what type of gemstone you were dreaming of, now you get to pick out the best one! We spoke to our suppliers and brought in the best selection of gemstones suited to your needs. They are all priced and tagged describing what makes each unique.
We have created blogs, social media inspirations, and videos to help guide you into creating the perfect jewellery piece for you or the one you cherish. I had Premier Gems recommended to me by a friend who also used their services, and was very impressed with everything they offered. I was nervous to design a custom engagement ring, and they presented me with plenty of renders and answered every question I had. My fiancé is thrilled with the ring and so am I, and they came in within the budget we set. I had a custom engagement ring designed with Premier Gems and I would highly recommend them! From start to finish Erin was easy to work with and worked with me to stay within my provided budget. I was given multiple options for the center stone and allowed to handle each before making a final decision. Most of the process was done through email and Erin was always quick to reply whenever I had a question or concern. Erin and Jeff did an excellent job of helping me find a unique men's wedding band. This included working through several expertly designed custom bands, and helping me track down some amazing designs that I couldn't find anywhere else in the city.

We loved our experience with Premier Gems and we love our rings.
We were really struck by how passionate and creative the entire team was on our project. We wanted to have custom rings that matched, but weren’t identical, and were interesting in finding gems other than diamonds.
We came in with some rough ideas of what we wanted, and Erin and Liz were able to design unique rings that shared some style, but fit both our personalities. Their 3D prototyping process helped us see how our rings were going to look.
Jeff provided deep expertise when it came to helping us decide what stones we wanted

I went to Premier Gems to have an additional wedding band made for our 40th wedding anniversary in 2017. They made the band, but I needed the rings resized. After weeks of calling to see when my resizing would be completed, they finally told me that they LOST my wedding rings!!!
My rings have never been found. They did remake me a wedding set, with a value of 1000.00 more than my appraisal, but it does not compensate for the fact that my original rings have been LOST. $1000.00 difference does not cover the fact that my rings are now gone forever.
I would never recommend this business.

Working with the staff at Premier Gems was great. They worked around my schedule especially since sneaking around trying to design the ring was difficult. Had plenty of conversations with them via email and they had several samples for me to view during our first meetings.
They had great input and suggestions for the design. I would definitely recommended them to others looking for the perfect ring or custom jewelry. They were very welcoming and weren't pushy about anything.

I had an incredible experience working with Premier Gems! The staff are very personable and worked extremely hard to ensure that we created the perfect ring together. They were very patient with me and got the job done on time for the engagement date. I don't know any other company that would put in as much effort and creativity into building a custom ring the way that I pictured it.
They asked my price range at the very beginning and made sure that the final product fit with my range, this was important and very appreciated, no surprises.
