Services
Here at BVC, 60% of our clinic consists of the cattle business, with a minority of services in equine, ovine, and caprine work. With our easy to work with bovine facility, we can offer many services, including bovine exams, bull breeding soundness evaluations, lameness exams, and pregnancy diagnosing; as well as on farm services.
Our large animal surgeries at BVC mainly consist of bovine caesarean sections, eye enucleations, with the few cases a year of calf abdominal surgeries and water belly surgeries. Our equine surgeries mainly consist of routine castrations and integumentary surgeries (ex: lacerations).
More specialized cases (mainly consisting of equine work) are usually referred out to clinics in bigger centers (Edmonton/Saskatoon) that deal with equine work on a daily basis.

Had two animals booked for planned c-sections (as they are unable to free whelp on their own), I understand as planned they aren’t considered “emergencies” but after arriving at the clinic they left the one dog so long she’s started to go into distress and came very close to passing away, creating an emergency situation. The… other dog also did not get into surgery for over an hour after she was booked for. Many of the Staff, including the Veterinarian were rude and belittling. Was told after surgery our one dog has an ear infection but was

They are all very caring and loving people there, they go out of their way to make sure our furbabies are taken care of and they also take care of us ! This past week I had to put my family’s dog (Sammie)down as she was very sick and ready to be in haven with my grandpa and they stayed there with me and her for as long as I needed and also helped me with picking out stuff in memory of her! They are angels on this earth for our fur babies ! Thank you from the Locke Family 🐶
