TBT Engineering Limited (TBTE) is Northwestern Ontario's largest independently owned multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. Originally established in Thunder Bay in 1969, TBTE is an employee-owned company that employs over 130 full time professional and technical staff, with 70 additional seasonal and contract staff serving public and private clients across a diverse range of industries and sectors.
Under new ownership since 1995 TBTE has grown extensively by diversification and in 2015 acquired Profor Engineering to add Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services to the firm. TBTE Surveyors Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of TBT Engineering Limited focused on the provision of legal (cadastral) surveying and Reference Plans throughout Northern Ontario.

TBT Engineering's technical services departments include professionals in Drilling, Lab/Field Testing, and Contract Administration. TBT Engineering's Drilling Services Department offers comprehensive drilling services and rentals for both environmental and geotechnical projects.
