Services
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we strongly advise clients to book an appointment. Emergency cases will always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
Dr. Rick Katchuik has been a practicing veterinarian since his graduation from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. While Rick works with all species, he has a professional interest in bovine and equine reproduction. In 2019 Dr Rick bred more than 150 mares, plus an additional 50-60 embryo transfers.
If you have called the clinic, most likely it is Katrina helping you on the other side of the phone. Katrina has a passion for animals and had been working as a technologist for 3 years in a mixed animal practice before her interest in equine medicine brought her here. She is involved in all aspects of patient and client care.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best. We are always adding to the list of equipment we have and services that we offer.
Vaccines are health products that trigger protective immune responses in pets and prepare them to fight future infections from disease-causing agents. Vaccines can lessen the severity of future diseases and certain vaccines can prevent infection altogether. For these and many other reasons it is important to vaccinate your pet to protect them against many highly contagious and deadly diseases.

Not only did this horse have a major roachback (marked as normal) but he also had major spinal compression and neck compression. I thought it was my saddle as it showed up as soon as I got him, then I continued to try other saddles with saddle fitters etc. This horse was also tripping when being lunged and rode, so I got the farrier to come out. Still no improvement. Then I took him to a well known trainer for

It is call a hospital for animal and was told on feb 8 2018 they said they not have narcotic there to give to the animal in pain waiting for surgery. I hope they are honest people but for some raison I fell they are upset over not getting the surgery because the price was $1200 cheaper somewhere else. Every clinic in town have narcotic but they told me to go back to UFA vet because they check the animal already . I will check for animal protection to do futur investigation on that narcotic not available.
