Services
We offer all-inclusive, flat rate closing packages for home purchases and sales. Our fees for our Durham estate planning lawyers, include all disbursements, such as title insurance, title searching, execution searches, courier costs, etc. The only other additional charges for a purchase transaction will be the Land Transfer Tax (based on purchase price - additional search costs may apply to rural or unusual properties).
We provide a full range of Estate Planning and Estate administration services. We provide Will and Power of Attorney drafting services as well as assisting Estate Trustees or Executors in obtaining a Certificate of Appointment (probate) from the Court and we can also assist you in administering your Oshawa, Whitby or Bowmanville area Estate.
We have extensive experience with business start-ups, expansions, reorganizations, family succession or sales and wind-ups. Our estate planning and power of attorney planning services are competitively priced and we provide a flat fee for some services. We are available to provide free quotes following a phone conversation.
After my clients sign their Will and Powers of Attorney, they leave my office with originals of the documents. I advise my clients to place their Wills and Powers of Attorney in an unlocked fireproof box in a safe place in their home. Lawyers sometimes witness a Will and Powers of Attorney with clients and do not obtain a proper Affidavit of Witness which is required along with the documents.
This article is intended to provide information to everyday people regarding Wills and Powers of Attorney and especially for those in our client area of Whitby, Bowmanville, Port Perry & Oshawa. These documents are a necessity for every adult and should be drawn up with a lawyer. I will address Wills at the beginning of the article and the second half will address Powers of Attorney.

Absolutley the best customer service i have ever recieved! Both Erik and his law clerk Jennifer went out of there way for my wife and i during a horrible experience buying our first home. If it werent for them and there efforts we would not have got the house and would have had to take the seller to court. Eriks knowledge of real estate law saved us alot of headache. They stayed 3 hours after hours to help us close the deal on closing day. During the whole process they awnsered our calls right away and were always friendly and courteous. They treated our situation as if it were them it was happening

Erik Fraser and his team are fantastic. Because of an extremely short close on our very first home, other law offices turned us away. Thank goodness for Google, because when we came across Erik Fraser’s website, we took a chance and called him. My girlfriend and I used Erik M. Fraser Law Office for the purchase of our first home. Like many first time home buyers, we were inexperienced and a little intimidated by the process.
