Our proximity to both the Comox Valley and Campbell River enables us to treat both companion and farm animals from a large geographic area.

We are a mixed animal practice in the heart of Merville located in the small building right next to the Merville General Store. Though our office is small, we have big hearts for our clientele and their pets in our local and remote communities of Vancouver Island. From our farmers to our small pet owners - the staff at Tsolum are dedicated to providing quality medical care for your animals.
We are a Mixed Animal Practice located in the heart of Merville. Our practice was founded in 1998 with the goal of providing full-service care to all animals in the Comox Valley and surrounding areas. Initially starting out as an ambulatory large animal practice, we listened to the needs of our growing community and in 2013, established our much anticipated small animal clinic next to the popular Merville General Store and Eats and Treats Caf.
Using her passion for general practice and preventative medicine, Mirna looks forward to working with each and every one of you to keep the animals in your life happy and healthy. From a young age, Mirna grew up spending every spare moment working at a barn looking after horses and any other animal that wandered by.
We are focused on delivering the best available veterinary care to our patients, and personal service to our clients. We are committed to keeping the lines of communication open and offering over-the-phone support whenever possible. We are diversified. From the largest of dairy herds to the smallest kitten, our dedicated team continuously strives to provide the best veterinary health care options possible.
Meet Dr. Peter Parke owner and operator of Tsolum Mobile Veterinary Health. Peter enjoys his veterinary career caring for the local Dairy and Beef herds in the Valley as well as all other farm animals. Also known as the "Horse GP" - Peter likes to service his equine clientele by providing good basic service such as teeth power floats, vaccinations, reproductive ultrasound, general health and complete nutritional analysis.

I can’t say enough about these incredibly kind, caring and compassionate people. At a time when none of the vets were taking new clients, they were there for us when we needed them. They found time that they didn’t have in their busy schedule because our Rita needed help. They provided the best care, explained it and answered our questions. They checked back to see how she was doing. And they were nothing short of amazing when her time came to say good-bye. A true godsend. We could not have done better.

My Wife brought our dog into Tsolum today. With a shortage of vets in our community no one was able to take our sweet Bella. She was not doing well and we couldn't wait 2-3 weeks to get in to see anyone as her infection was worsening. The employees of Tsolum not only took our sweet dog today and treated her but made my wife's worries come to ease. She said they where professional, kind and most importantly good hearted people. Not to mention the best vet care she has received in years. Thank you for all that you do and taking care of our sweet girl Bella.

The staff and Doctors are amazing and our dog absolutely adores Dr. Topic and everyone there. From basic vaccines to helping us through a bit of a scare, I have to say that Tsolum is one of the kindest, most… informative and amazing veterinary experiences we've had. I can't thank everyone there enough for their support and attention to detail.

What makes this veterinarian clinic different from ones I’ve been to is Dr. Peter Parke, I’ve been going here since it opened and I really like the staff even the student veterinarians that Peter brought in happen exceptional and the front staff is always willing to help and go the extra mile I highly recommend them it’s worth the drive from Intown up to downtown Merville!
