Knollwood Golf and Country Club was founded in 1970 by Jack Harris, one of the most respected golf course superintendents in Canadian history. After serving as superintendent for 12 years at St. Georges Golf Club in Toronto where he held the 1949 Canadian Open. Years later Jack moved to Ancaster and took over the most coveted of all superintendent positions at the venerable Hamilton Golf and Country Club where he remained for 17 years.
In 1968, Jack and his wife Hazel, purchased a 50-acre farm on Shaver Road in Ancaster and began to work a 9-hole layout onto the property. With his sons Jim and John, they planted thousands of trees, and there amidst the natural beauty of the land, he laid out a course of memorably distinct golf holes.

Services
Please arrive at the clubhouse no more than 15 minutes prior to tee time. No post game congregation is permitted anywhere on the property. Maximum of one customer in the pro shop at a time. All customers must keep a minimum of 6 feet apart at all times. When putting out, there is no touching of the flag whatsoever and it is to remain in the cup.
Membership cards are required and presented at time of check in. Make a full payment or in 4 convenient monthly installments (minimal administrative fee applied). When adding a Cart Membership, it is a half cart rental and if another rider is present they must pay the other half. Guests pay daily posted rate for half cart rental.
Our league play has grown exponentially over the years and as such sells out virtually every season. We encourage all Traditional and Debit Members of all ages and abilities to join in the fun and participate in the occasional theme night, 'Bring A Friend Day' and 'Field Trip'. If you have an interested group of golfers and would like to start a weekly league at Knollwood, let us know - we would love to help.
