Hello, I'm Dr Kyra Larkin, the owner and Chief Veterinarian of Complete Care Hospital for Pets. I grew up in Lower Sackville, and was a horse-loving girl who desperately wanted to have one in the backyard. My parents were not as crazy about the idea, but my desire to be close to the animals I loved prompted me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
I completed a BSc in Agriculture from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 1990 and graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1994. I started my career in the Annapolis Valley, where I met my husband, Tom. Putting riding on hold to raise a family, Tom and I were blessed with a son (William) and a daughter (Jessica).

Services
This is the heart of the hospital, where your pet is greeted with a warm smile, weights can be taken and where foods and other supplies are available. Exam Rooms: Our hospital has two rooms, both equipped with all necessary instruments to perform a thorough physical exam. One is themed for dogs and the other cats, though both can also accommodate exotics.
After 10 years of providing veterinary care in the Sheet Harbour and surrounding communities, we regret to announce that our Sheet Harbour remote veterinary clinic is closed. Thank you for all of your support over the past 10 years. Please visit us for your veterinary needs at our fully equipped veterinary hospital in Lake Echo and we'll keep you posted regarding house call services in the area.
Your pet is not only a constant companion, one who will love you unconditionally, but is ALSO a member of your family. For this reason we offer health care plans that package products and services by life-stage to ensure your pet receives the annual preventative health care he or she will need.
Our goal is to ensure your cat is kept at it's optimum health and that we can detect any potential problems at an early stage. This is why each plan contains UNLIMITED Medical Exams as well as the Annual Physical Exam for the duration of your Health Care Plan. As well, each plan can be specifically designed for you cat or kitten depending on their age, breed and lifestyle.
