I graduated from the University of Toronto in 1997 with an Honours B.A. in Management and Economics and obtained my Chartered Accountant designation in 1999. I spent one year at a multi-national firm, and seven years at medium-sized firms, gaining knowledge and experience on small and medium-sized companies.

I spent four years in a controllership role, further gaining insight into small business operations before returning back to public practice. I started my practice in 2001, because like most, I have bills to pay and children to put through school. I also started my practice with the belief that I would provide friendly, professional service to small businesses and entrepreneurial clients at AFFORDABLE RATES.

Sometimes if a company has a large loan outstanding with the bank, one of the covenants is that the company's financial statements are reviewed by a Chartered Accountant. Certain professional governing bodies require that their members provide annual statements that have been reviewed by a Chartered Accountant.
My practice was started with the hope of providing friendly, professional service to small businesses and entrepreneurial clients in the Greater Toronto and York Region Area. My clients include, doctors, denturists, IT consultants, project managers, contractors, distributors, media firms, travel agencies, mortgage brokers, retail stores, architects, interior decorating firms, and so many others.
I've worked at different accounting firms, so believe me when I say that larger accounting firms tend to add lots of time to their files through inefficiencies. Usually a junior is responsible to complete your file. The senior reviews the file. The file then goes to the manager for review. The manager reviews the file and gives it back to the senior, who takes a look and gives it back to the junior to fix.
The MOST important aspect of my practice is client satisfaction. I invest time to ensure you understand your business results, the taxes you owe and feel overall comfortable with your choice in me. I take pride in positive feedback. Below are a few comments I would like to share with you from clients over the years.

I have been using Rita to do my corporation's books for 10 years. Could not be happier. She sweats all those little important details so that I don't have to. Watches out for me as a business owner to ensure I'm set up properly. Runs a tight ship and makes sure the books are in order.
