Dr. Tavares, DMD, graduated with an M.Sc. in Physiology from the University of Toronto, earning her DMD from the University of Manitoba. She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the Canadian Dental Association, and the Ontario Dental Association.

Dr Tavares and everyone at Derry Heights Dental are amazing. The service is great. My family and I are patients of Dr. Wendy Tavares since 2005. I did xrays and cleaning and it cost $ 650 (through insurance but still..) they charged twice for scaling, which should have been included in first visit dental hygiene l, and some other things for which they also charged me. Not to mention they wanted to open up a tooth that" might" have cavity. Insane. And cleaning hurt like never before(my gums are fine, my sister is hygienist so she checks them periodically)... anyway. Not going back and not recommending for you to go there.

I generally don't leave any good reviews as I never have the time to go out of my way and write a good one, but for Derry Heights, I had to! My experience from the beginning was amazing. It was my boyfriends mother who had referred me. I needed to get 2 crowns put into the areas I had a root canal in. The entire process and service was exceptional. I am a very anxious person, and the dates I had my appointments booked I would have high anxiety because it would be the day of a test, or a stressful day at work. Dr. Wendy was patient and understanding during my entire procedure. I would recommend

My experience as a patient with Dr. Wendy is over a decade. She is very experienced, confident, and has a warm and friendly personality. She takes time to explain, and addresses my concerns with compassion. Her staff are professional and courteous and the clinic is clean and well equipped. Dr. Wendy is amazing with my 2 daughters. Her patience with children is admirable. I only trust Dr. Wendy with my teeth.
