Our animal hospital and Veterinarians are accredited through the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO). To promote, maintain and regulate the professional standards of veterinary technicians and veterinary technologists;.
The first part of any wellness exam is a discussion with a technician or veterinarian. We ask you to tell us about your pet and any health concerns you may have. We then ask some questions. Our list is a bit long so be prepared but our questions have a purpose. They may help you remember things you wanted to discuss with us.
Dental disease can affect other organs in the body. Bacteria in the mouth can get into the blood stream and may cause life threatening diseases including heart, kidney, liver and lung disease. Your pet's dental health program should begin with an annual check-up and cleaning by your veterinarian. Here at North Waterloo Veterinary Hospital, we are equipped to ultrasonically scale your pet's teeth and give them a fluoride polish.
Surgeries are performed Tuesdays and Thursdays at the North Waterloo Veterinary Hospital. Our veterinarians are trained and experienced in a variety of surgical procedures. If more extensive procedures are required, we have access to a wide variety of specialized veterinary surgeons through either on-site or referral services.

There is an external heated shelter added to the front of the building such that you talk through the walkup window (there are chairs) and watch and see all that is going on.
Make appt. Drive up and park in the back or on the street in front. Call the numbwr and say what colour vehicle you are in. They will wave you down when it's your turn. And you walk up to the door hand over fluffy and they take them to the room with the walk up window. Great option.
No guilt - they do an assessment and provide all the info and available options in a straightforward manner... You make the decision and they

This was my first visit to Waterloo North. Linda listened to what I had to say about my new dog and asked many clarifying questions. I was not rushed. She completed her exam and gave me thorough verbal report which will be followed with a written report. All round a very good experience and I highly recommend this vet. Took our cat here last week for a checkup and cleaning. The staff were very considerate in explaining the new rules for social distancing. The vet came out and talked to us at length about what she noticed and what we could do to help keep our cat healthy. She was super helpful, informative, and non judegemntal or pushy. Really great experience. Will be coming back here for sure.
