Services
Each room comes equipped with coffee maker, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans, microwave, stove and fridge. These items are for your convenience. Our region is dotted with hundreds of untouched, pristine lakes with only limited local fishing in the vicinity of Arviat. Our outfitting areas are remote with no fishing pressure and no other lodges within 200 miles. Traditional skills are very much practiced today, especially the survival skills needed to successfully travel and hunt even in the darkest days of winter.
A visit to the Margaret Aniksak Visitors Centre. Exhibits include displays of traditional Inuit life and artifacts from the Arvia'juaq archaeological site. The Arviat Sivulinut Elders Society offers instruction in string games, throat singing and holds traditional cookouts of caribou heads, hooves and other delicacies.
