Services
Soft tissue grafts are recommended to stop gum recession and to prevent further dental problems. Soft tissue grafts can also improve the aesthetics of your gum line to improve your smile. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist places into your jaw. This implant can then be used by your regular dentist to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or denture.
Our first appointment with your periodontist is an information gathering session. It will begin with your doctor asking you about your medical history, your past and your current dental practices, your social history and oral hygiene routine. We want to know your specific concerns about your gums, your teeth, your smile and what you would like us to achieve with your treatment.
A pocket reduction procedure is recommended when pockets are too deep to clean with daily homecare and professional routine cleanings. During this procedure, your periodontist folds back the gum tissue and removes the disease-causing bacteria before securing the tissue back into place. In some cases, irregular surfaces of the damaged bone are smoothed to limit areas where disease-causing bacteria can hide.

Your gums can recede for a number of reasons such as aggressive tooth brushing and periodontal disease. Exposed tooth roots, as the result of gum recession, can make your teeth appear too long.
In instances when you have lost a tooth or teeth, the gum and bone begins to disappear leaving you with an indentation. This indentation may be limiting if you are considering implant treatment. In order to properly have an implant placed that is both functional and aesthetic, your doctor may need to rebuild the bone and gum tissue in this area.

I had a gum surgery done by Dr. Thang 5 years ago. I also had an implant surgery done recently by Dr. Thang. I am extremely happy with both results. I was expecting a lot of pain from the implant because that's what my relative experienced when she did her implant in another country. However, the procedure and recovery was so much easier than I expected. I was able to work on the same day. I would definitely recommend Dr. Thang. His schedule is quite full though. It would be even better if he could offer more flexible schedules.

Couldn't imagine a better periodontics practice. Dr Thang was incredibly kind, skilled and helpful, and did a spectacular job with my dental implants.
I was somewhat traumatized after losing two teeth in a basketball game, but Dr. Thang guided me through the process, talking me through the whole thing, and now after all is said and done my smile is better than ever!
The location is clean and classy, and the rest of the staff are wonderful too!

I had a gum graph done across 2 teeth. I was terrified of the procedure, but Dr. Thang explained everything and was fantastic at keeping me relaxed. He has fantastic bedside manner, and his staff is friendly, and informative. I would recommend everyone to him. My entire experience was pleasant. Thank you Dr. Thang!

The entire staff there were very friendly and helpful, and the office is kept very clean while maintaining a sense of warmth and comfort, thanks to natural lighting, plant life,and fish tanks.
The surgery itself was very fast, and recovery took only a few days. Didn't need any painkillers, just a preventative anti-inflammatory for a couple of days.
It is expensive (between $1500 to $2000 for my case), but the graft was very successful!
