The Cornerstone is Kenora's fine dining restaurant in the heart of downtown. We are located in a heritage building on Main Street, just steps away from Lake of the Woods. At the Cornerstone, we have been serving fantastic dishes featuring flavours that celebrate northwestern Ontario, since 2009. On the corner of Main and Second, our restaurant is the top place to eat when you're downtown.

In the summer months there is no better place to enjoy the company of friends and family than our deck overlooking the Harbourfront. In addition to great food you can enjoy great music while you're visiting us at the Lake. We are often host to a variety of musical acts. Located in the heart of Kenora, The Cornerstone Restaurant offers an exceptional fine dining experience in a classic atmosphere.

Terrible service, the wait for a table was estimated at 45-60 minutes max(the hostess claimed she always overestimated so it should not take longer and it took 90+Minutes. When they finally called for “our” table at over 90 minutes the people had not even settled their bill yet! Would not recommend!

Had the Cornerstone mussels tonight. OMG, they’re so good! The sauce is incredible and you won’t want to leave a drop. Thank goodness for the bread that comes with it to dip in the sauce. If you like mussels, you won’t be disappointed! Two thumbs up! Yum!

The white sauce in the mussels is to die for. I swear i made sure no drop was wasted with the sourdough bread that came with it 🥰 My boyfriend took me to Kenora on a daytrip last summer (we’re from Winnipeg)… and had lunch here. Ever since then, literally, I’ve been wanting to drive back to Kenora just to have lunch here again. It’s so good that even after almost a year later, reading the menu makes me drool and seriously angrily crave for the mussels dish!! Kid you not. Quality food and quality timely service. Food portion sizes were good and the new York steak was well seasoned. Overall it was a flavourful experience with the yam fries being a good size! 8 out of ten, very solid!
