Hi I had Hi Tech windows installed in my house. In my Family Room window the casing screws rusted and one split off inside the casing. I’m working with Sean to get the rusted screws replaced/ fixed as they should have been galvanized or stainless steel since the window opens. They were just regular screws painted white.
Hope this gets resolved soon my opinion of Hi Tech was very high up to this point. But rusty screws in thousands of dollars of windows is not a good sign.
Update: 11/10/21 tech came out and fixed the issue, not great that it happened to start with, but service and follow up

After several attempts to repair our patio door that leaked every time it rained and the yellowing door slabs. Hi Tech finally replaced the entire door on warranty. The door slabs were a slightly different white than the casing so we had hi-tech paint them bright white. The color was perfect but the paint job was oversprayed on the window and chipping around the top window. Also what we were not told is the bottom would be going from a beautiful aluminum footplate to an ugly cheap black plastic that sounds hollow when you step on it. Hi tec product is very good. Like the windows. Installation is so so. While they did a good job, cleaned up, greatly reduced the need to repaint walls, there were issues with the installation. Some damage to vinyl siding and eavestroughs occurred. The installers explanation was vinyl is brittle and ladders on eavestroughs are going to dent due to the removal of heavy old windows. I’d say be prepared to see some damage and decide if further action is needed.

Employees of the company made eight separate visits to my residence. After the first one, they provided us with a quote to replace seven windows and fix one. On the next six visits, they failed to bring parts to fix the broken window. On their last visit, they fixed it only partly and told me I'd have to pay them for more parts from them to finish the job. Upon installing the seven new windows, they did not clean anything up, leaving smudges and grime on both sides of every window. Every window surround had dents, marks and scratches. The quality of their windows and doors and the professional service of the installation staff are perfect! We had a patio door installed replacing a kitchen window a couple of years back. We were so impressed with their product and service we of course used them again during our renos this spring, replacing our front window, front and back doors. Highly recommend! We had 13 old windows in our house replaced recently. What made us choose Hi-Tech is that they really seemed to place customer service first. There was no high-pressure sale, but I did get a good sense of the difference between all the products. (We ended up going with the more premium product - planning to only do this once.) You get to meet the installer who will actually do your job before they even get going. It seems like a small thing, but it made a difference. Ryan was awesome!

Wes, Dave and his Crüe did a wonderful job the first time that we loved our windows and were very pleased with them that we called them back 3 years later to put all our other windows in. They worked great around the other guys that were here doing something else. I would highly suggest Hi-Tech to anyone. Great service, great customer service. And ever an issue they jump on it. So glad they traveled the extra miles to see us.

Great Company, excellent quality product with the best installers in Winnipeg. Have an older house and had Hi-Tech replace all the windows in the house which I thought would be a challenge. The windows were delivered on time, at an affordable price and installed by "Dave" and his professional crew. All the old windows were taken away. … Everything was cleaned up. We chose Hi-Tech after reading reviews, comparing prices and quality of windows with other companies. Windows look fantastic and were so satisfied that I had to write a review. I would highly recommend them as a first class company

Well we just had 3 gentleman *Ron, Peter& Randy* out to the house this morning!!All I can say is WOW!!! They were Sooooo meticulous,They had to do a lot of cutting for the moulding due to house obstacles ie, baseboards , and the quality of work they did was a Outstanding!! We will be using Hi-Tech in the Future!!! 5 Rock Stars for you!!

Hi-Tech's installer cut the jambs too thin for ALL of our new windows to the point were there was no drip edge. To remedy this Hi-Tech's installer used a grinder to flatten our stucco. We refused to pay the balance until this was corrected by Hi-Tech. instead of correcting the error; Hi-Tech's response was to place a lien on our house instead of correcting this. We are now headed to court. Sorry cannot recommend using Hi-Tech.
