Obtained her degree in Agriculture in 1978 from McGill University and her DVM from l'Universit de Montral in 1982. Opened the Dalhousie practice in 1983, and has a particular interest in sled dogs. Chairing several professional committees, she has served 5 terms as president of the provincial veterinary association and participated on its council for 25 years.
