Many NHL players came to the camp as instructors or campers. Greg Millen, Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky, Bernie Parent, Johnny Bower were just some of the names that spent some time in Haliburton.

We stayed here 23 yrs ago on our honeymoon. Not much has changed since then and that’s not a good thing. Prices are no longer reasonable as rooms are in disrepair including stained carpets and bedding along with furniture with holes the size of golf balls. It hurt my heart to see this beautiful resort so run down.

The Pinestone is about as far from being a high end resort as you can get. It's dated, dirty and people can get better accomodation from some of the small roadside motels located throughout the county. The Pinestone used to be a beautiful, high-end, full service resort but it has fallen far from where it used to be be it is just a sad shadow of what it used to be. Don't waste your money on accommodation here.
The villas which used to be charming now look like they have been basically abandoned by the management. There is peeling paint, dirty windows, rotten deck boards...these used to be charming

The good.
Villas were nice. Kitchenette. Huge windows overlooking golf course. Dining room. Loft ceilings. Jacuzzi. The pools were gorgeous. Golf was great!
The bad. Not truly a resort. No breakfast. No dinner on Sunday. You are left to scoot on down the highway to get some Tim Horton Breakfast sandwiches. When the restaurant was open the offerings were generally quesadillas and burgers. A sad departure from 20 years ago when I was last there and it was fine dining.
The room was clean but not deep clean. Large stains on carpet, pretty sure blood stain on couch. Chair broken. Patio chair busted

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel with my family. The hotel has no breakfast. I experienced outage of water twice without any apologies. The amenities like the tennis court and kids' playground are abandoned. When trying to call the front desk by phone is rare to have an answer. The hotel has no ramp of access to the restaurant and for some amenities. During my stay we didn't have the housekeeping service to replace towels or linens, we had to go to the front desk to pick up any stuff that we need. For last but not least, the hotel has no room service, the front desk and the restaurant are very

*Do not stay here*
We stayed here for 2 nights for our friends’ wedding nearby. Our original room reeked like cigarette smoke and was so musty. My husband is currently on crutches and there was NO elevator - please note that if you have any mobility issues. We asked to moved rooms because the smell was so bad. We were put in a room downstairs, but it was just so dated and musty smelling. The hallways were full of garbage and the place seemed to have many areas of water damage and stained carpet!
I think the motel down the street would be a better stay!

We had a 2 nights stay at this hotel and we felt really disappointed. The front desk staff were quite nice, welcoming and professional. However, the room that we were given in the Fairway building, was not good at all. First of all, the entire building had a musty, moldy and damp smell. The room was clean but way too old. The carpets and all the furnitures needed to be changed as they were very old and stained. The room had a balcony, but it was not in a condition to be used. It was very dirty and moldy and the chairs were quite gross to sit on and we saw droppings on the balcony and the chairs

We stayed in two different rooms while at pinestone and it was night and day. The first two nights we stayed in a villa and it was gorgeous!! Clean, brights, and spacious with no smell, nice fans, a cute little patio to sit on and very welcoming front door. The second two nights we stayed in the Fairways building and so far, it's pretty bad. It's a weird parking lot with construction vehicles... I don't feel super safe leaving my car, but have little choice. And while the villa was old, it was still nice... This building is not. The lights flicker, the air has that awful musty moldy smell, the

Stayed there for two nights. On the first night I got no sleep due to the mice that were running around in my home. When I informed the hotel they didn't apologize and suggested it could be a chipmunk. I had to ask to change rooms. And no one helped me with luggage to do so. In the second room, someone (presuming housekeeping) entered the room without even knocking. It was very poor customer service overall. View was very nice though.
