Eric Shawar has been assisting clients to gain their permanent residency and resolve any status problems since 2007. Assisting in the acquisition of Permanent Resident Status to Canada through skilled worker, humanitarian and compassionate or spousal/common law sponsorship applications and other types of Permanent Residence Application.
A visitor visa (also known as a temporary resident visa) is an official document that foreign nationals need to travel to and enter Canada as a visitor for up to 6 months. Unless you are from a visa-exempt country, you will need a visitor visa to enter Canada whether you are coming to study, work, or visit.
A Temporary Resident Permit, also known as a TRP, is a document allowing inadmissible applicants to visit Canada or continue residing in the country (if already present in Canada). TRP is issued to a person if their need to come to Canada outweighs the risk of being in Canada.
For example, an individual might be granted a TRP for a visit to Canada if the trip is work-related and that person's presence in Canada will be beneficial to the country or its citizens.A temporary resident permit is usually issued for the length of the applicant's intended visit to Canada. For example, 1 week to attend a conference.

In each of these situations, you must meet additional criteria of the program to be eligible. Closed work permit are tied to specific employers, this means that a foreign national issued this type of work permit must remain working with the same employer at the same location (if applicable) unless they change their work permit.

I was on the verge of losing my permanent residence status due to misrepresentation and be removed from Canada. I was scared that I would be separated from my life here. Needless to say I was very stressed out, but the Shawar Law team gave me confidence and reassurance. Eric did an amazing job during the removal order appeal and we won like he promised me we would !

I would like to thank the team of Shawar Law and Eric for helping me out towards my application for permanent residence. My case was not straight forward and needed diligent efforts. Though I am a few hundred kilometers away from their office, whether it was responding to my emails or addressing my queries over the phone, they made sure that my needs were addressed.

Eric is a professional and experienced immigration lawyer. Last year I was lucky to receive the invitation to apply to sponsor my parents to immigrate to Canada. I applied for my spouse sponsorship application through Shawar law immigration lawyers in Edmonton, and they were friendly.
First I booked a consultation with the immigration lawyer and got to sit down for an hour to discuss my situation, they advised about all of the forms and the proof documents I need, I left after and have another follow up to discuss in more details about the strategy, how to proceed with my case.
They went and applied for my spouse and he joined me short after.

I hired them to renew my work visa, they filled the form with wrong information, and after my visa was denied, they said it was my fault. I try to talk but they said i should pay another time (first i pay $2000) just to talk with them again... Really bad service! You cant trust them! Terrible work! No commitment to their Job!!
