Services
Optometrists are health care providers who examine, assess, and manage conditions and disorders of the human visual system (the eye). They prescribe treatments for corrective errors including glasses and contact lenses.
While most people know about Optometrists and the diagnosis prescribing correction for visual errors using glasses and contact lenses, few know of the wide scope of diseases and conditions both ocular and systemic (body wide) an Optometrist looks for during an eye exam. From amblyopia, glaucoma, and macular degeneration to diabetes, hypertension, and many more.

Complete assessment of the visual system including a refraction (your glasses prescription), and an eye health assessment. Health assessment of the ocular system from itchy and red eyes, to styes, headaches and everything in between. Be sure to bring your Alberta Health Number as this service is covered by Alberta Health.
We are committed to providing you with the most accurate prescription possible. However, we recognize that eyes, like the rest of the body, are dynamic structures and prescriptions can change from time to time. We guarantee your prescriptions accuracy for 90 days after your initial visit. If you are not completely satisfied with your vision, we will be happy to recheck your prescription at no extra charge.
Contact lenses are medical devices and require a prescription that may be slightly different from a glasses prescription. For optimal health, a corneal health and contact lens evaluation should be performed before you update or renew your contact lenses, or annually, whichever comes first.
Contact lenses can fit differently for every individual, as such, we may need to see you multiple times in order to properly fit your eyes to maximize vision, comfort, and safety of the contact lenses.Your eye health and function is evaluated during the eye exam to make sure you are suitable for contact lens wear.

Our procedures are non-invasive and will cause minimal to no pain. Some patients may notice a mild stinging with eye drops, but will only feel the sting for 5-10 seconds. Dilation uses eye drops to cause the pupils (the coloured parts of the eye) to become larger allowing more light into the eye. This allow the doctors to have a better view to the back of the eye.
