When buying online from their website, you are not actually buying from Crothers. They have outsourced this to a UK company called Aldridge. I've made two orders through the Crothers website where they have said items are in stock , only to be contacted later and told that only some of the items are in stock and the others would have to be back ordered if needed.
In this day and age there is no reason for stock levels to be out of sync. I would imagine you can order most things regardless of if they actually have them or not.
