Dr. McCallum received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Western University in 2012 and completed an advanced clinical fellowship in 2013 at Western University, focusing on oral surgery, dental trauma, paediatric dentistry and management of medically compromised patients. Dr. McCallum is fully trained in nitrous oxide/minimal sedation and maintains up to date CPR certification.

Services
At Arkona Dental Clinic, we understand the importance of comprehensive and preventative care. Regular check-ups or routine cleanings allow us to maintain the health of your teeth and gums. During these visits our team will also check for periodontal (gum) concerns, tooth decay, assess the health of past dentistry and perform an oral cancer screening.
We love to treat kids! We have been specially trained to treat lots of different ages and have many ways to help make your child comfortable and relaxed. We take the extra time and care to make sure every visit to the office is a positive one! We provide positive reinforcement at every visit, which helps children develop a sense of pride in their smile and understand their role in keeping it bright and healthy.
McCallum or Lovell may recommend root canal therapy for patients who have developed an inner soft-tissue infection. At the center of your tooth is the pulp, which is a collection of nerve tissue, blood vessels and other cells that help maintain the health of the surrounding tooth. Infection of the pulp can be caused by trauma, deep decay, or cracks.
Don't be worried about what to do if you are suffering from pain, swelling or dental trauma. Our doctors are specially trained to handle all types of dental emergencies and spent an extra year after dental school to learn how to effectively manage your emergency. At Arkona Dental we make every attempt to provide emergency patients with same day dental appointments as high priorities.
Fillings are used to fix broken teeth, to fill a cavity, or to replace old fillings that might be damaged or need repair. We will first remove all of the decay from the tooth and then place the filling to prevent further infection or decay. At Arkona Dental, we recommend the use of tooth colored composite fillings, but there are instances where amalgam (silver filling) are better suited for long term success.

I had a severe phobia of the dentist after a horrible incident during a procedure at another clinic with a different dentist in the past. I was terrified to have anything done. I avoided the dentist for years. Dr McCallum and the staff here have been beyond amazing! I’ve now had fillings and other procedures with wonderful success and my fears have been diminished. This Wednesday I went to get my wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. McCallum. I had put the operation off because I was worried about going back to the dentist since the pandemic started. I was thrilled to see how clean everything was. On top of that, all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Before the operation, I was educated on what I would be going through. As a very nervous dental patient I can’t say enough about Dr. Jeremy McCallum. Dr. McCallum ensures that I am comfortable and relaxed with his amazing charm and quiet confidence. He is always very personable, eager to know how you and your family are at any given time. By far the best dental care I have ever received! I moved to this dental office 2yrs ago and today I had a cavity filled there for the first time. I would highly recommend Dr. Jeremy and his team for young families and for those that with any anxiousness about going to the dentist. Dr. Jeremy McCallum is an amazing dentist. I’ve long suffered from what’s been termed “Dental Anxiety,” and Dr. McCallum has always been patient, understanding and professional with me. When I “freeze up” and he tells me “It’s OK” and to “Breathe,” I know his concern for me to feel as relaxed and taken care of as possible is totally genuine. Arkona Dental Clinic is by far the best Dental Clinic I have ever been too. The staff are incredibility helpful and very good at what they do. I was pretty anxious with the dental work I required today but the staff made me feel at ease. Marsha the hygienist was very helpful and knowledgeable. I've been to various dentists and this was by far the best experience I've had. Dr McCallum and Ingrid were very kind and professional.
