Services
The Alliston Chiropractic Wellness Centre was opened sixty years ago by Dr. Gordon Burgess. Upon his retirement in 1997, the practice was taken over by Dr. Kent Newton who had already been working in the community with Dr. Burgess for a approximately one year. Over the last two and half decades, Dr. Kent has been known for his compassionate care and his remarkable ability to help people achieve their health care goals.

Pregnancy is a time of change. The shift in body mechanics sometimes causes mid and/or low back discomfort. Sciatic troubles and carpal tunnel syndrome may become part of the temporary, new normal. Chiropractic care can often alleviate some of these symptoms and enhance both labour and postpartum recovery.

Dr. Kent genuinely cares about your health and wants it to improve. He listens to your concerns (my wife was quite nervous about Chiro) and adjusts his approach to treat what needs it. Not the same ol same ol.
Ive had several chiropractors over the years in Toronto and in Alliston. He is by far the best and I’m happy to see him for years. Pricing also good too.

We took our newborn to see Dr. Kent after a recommendation from our midwife, to help our baby with gas, fussiness and a consult on torticollis. Dr. Kent answered all our questions before starting any treatment and made us feel so comfortable with the process. We were not familiar with chiropractic care prior to this, and Dr. Kent takes the time to explain what he is doing, and how it will benefit our daughter. Dr. Kent was referred to me by a friend when I couldn't get rid of a pain in my back. While I thought that I was visiting a physiotherapist and very nervous to find out that instead it was a chiropractor. My recollection of what I had heard in the past about chiropractors was not very reassuring. However, I was very pleased to hear Melissa tell me that Dr. Kent would evaluate if it was indeed what I needed. We took our very fussy, very gassy, very unsettled 3 week old son to Dr. Kent after hearing about the benefits of chiropractic care for newborns. At first I was very nervous, but within minutes of meeting Dr. Kent I felt completely comfortable. He took the time to listen to me and to explain what he would be doing. Dr Kent is amazing! I first started seeing him when I had my first daughter almost 3 years ago. And he has helped me with my posture and back pains. Then when I got pregnant with my second baby he helped me a TON with the oh-so-lovely symptom, heartburn. Every time I felt it coming, he would work on me and it would go away for weeks! Throughout the… pregnancy I hardly had any heartburn, thank you Dr. Kent! Also the adjustments I had throughout pregnancy helped be through labour and delivery of my second baby! Dr. Kent Newton is AWESOME !!!!! If you have never tried chiropractic, I would highly recommend going here first. He will explain everything to you. GP's first line of defense, to treat back pain expecially, is to prescribe pain killers. This will only mask a problem that a Chiropractor can usually fix.
