He is highly specialized as a Barrister, practising before the relevant Administrative Tribunals and Appeals to Appellate Courts.

After beginning his career practising in Peterborough, and having acted for clients in many of the smaller municipalities outside of the GTA, Mr. Petch is very much acquainted with the issues of the smaller municipalities and the relationship that the municipality is most comfortable with in working with their lawyer.

Russ focuses his practice on planning and municipal law and has appeared on behalf of clients before the Ontario Municipal Board, the Assessment Review Board, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission, the Environmental Assessment Board, the Environmental Appeal Board and the Niagara Escarpment Commission.
