Grandview Terrace Childcare
We strive to provide a range of safe, stimulating and nurturing childcare programs that respect and embrace each child and family. Each of our programs is a reflection of its history, the community it serves, its staff members and its families, past and present. We are grateful to all the volunteers from the PCMA who helped refresh our playground and walls!

Check out our news and events page for more information and a video. Daycare offers quality early childhood education with a focus the Early Learning Framework and Emergent Curriculum.
Services
We believe that children learn about themselves, others and the world around them through play. We set up the environment that allows children to naturally learn and practice important skills that encourages development in all areas such as social, emotional, intellectual, physical and creative.

Teachers support growth and learning on a weekly basis by encouraging and implementing activities which interest children such as science and discovery, fine and gross motor, dramatic play, art, music and dance, reading and sports. We strive to foster an environment where each child feels comfortable in learning.
An action-packed summer adventure! We do exciting field trips, exploring the sites and scenery of our great city. We do paddle boating at Burnaby Lake, hiking, bowling, Science World visits, swimming and more. Contact us for more information. There is a $40 non-refundable registration deposit and a one-time $10 Earthquake kit fee for non-school-program families to secure a space.
Our staffing component is made up of the program coordinator, who oversees all the centres and an assistant senior supervisor, who is on the floor working and supporting staff on a daily basis. We have special needs teachers, early childhood educators and out of school care certified staff.

We welcome volunteers and practicum students from many colleges such as Langara, Douglas College, MTI, Vancouver Community College and Native Education College.Having students and volunteers enriches the quality of care that our families and children receive on a daily basis.

This is a really nice playground surrounded by old trees, lots of shade and challenging equipment for different ages. Loads of fun. The picnic tables allow for longer play time.
