Dr. Al-Bakkal received her D.M.D. in Dentistry from the University of Manitoba in 2004. Her graduate studies in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba culminated with her Masters Degree in Oral Biology in 1998, with a thesis exploring the role of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) in oral cancers.
