After having being rejected by another vet clinic, the team at Markham Vet clinic quickly came to the rescue to provide my cat with his regular food. We moved here from Montreal and after explaining the situation, the lovely ladies at reception were willing to take us (Max my cat) on and, in no time we had his food! Not only that, but even after multiple phone calls, those ladies (all of them) were kind, respectful and I could even sense the smiles over the phone. THAT is excellent customer service! BRAVO! Thank you again ladies! I know Max will be in good hands 👏👍

While you might get okay quality service here, the vet is in for making money. It's like going to a car mechanic, and having them throw multiple solutions to see what sticks and makes the car work. I would explain the experience at Markham Vet Clinic the same way. The doctor is not bad, but literally every time we go to see her with the dog, she either doesn't know what is wrong with him [doesn't understand the root cause], refers him to specialist... but at the same time, gives a bunch of "temporary" medications that cost north of $500, that are meant to cure the symptoms. My family has been bringing our pets here for close to two decades and we have been exceptionally satisfied with the care and attention we have received. In recent years as my cat's health has declined, I have found the Markham Vet Clinic to be extremely caring, informative and empathetic. I would recommend this clinic to any pet parent!

We visited for the annual vaccination of your cat. The appointment was a bit late due to the earlier appointment extending into ours.
The staff was very polite, courteous and professional. The vet explained to us in detail the health of our cat, and we were very much satisfied with the experience.
I would certainly recommend it.

We used to bring both of our dogs here as puppies up until recently. We've changed vets now after we moved due to the distance. Otherwise, we'd be happy to continue here. They are very responsive and helpful, and the doctors spend time to meet with you or speak over the phone to clear up any questions. They are good with following up with you after vaccinations or to remind you about appointments and upcoming shots. Only downside is the price and also it can be difficult to get a suitable appt time as they are busy and have shorter hours on weekends.

I just wanted to say this is a wonderful vet clinic. I have been bringing in my cat Teddy here for the last year. They have always treated my cat well and looked after him. Even with covid they kept up their services and were able to still see him. I think it is the best clinic in Markham!

They are very friendly and very clearly all animal lovers. However, they are outrageously over priced in my opinion and don't bare much mind relative to pricing things out for their services. When inquiring about pricing, I almost felt pressured, even guilted by the doctors and staff for trying to fully understand why things were priced the way they were knowing the same product or service was offered near by for a fraction of the cost. I had someone actually say "Well if

I had the worse experience at this clinic. I really don't feel like they have your dogs interests ahead of their business values. They overcharge on everything. My dog had an immunization and the following week I had to go for another visit because he had an ear infection. They had just done a full assessment and weighed him but did everything again to charge an extra $100. I paid $200 for an ear infection! Then the vet said I should get this extra vaccine for lepto..she said 95% of their dogs get it so you feel bad if you don't get it. I asked my breeder and she said definitely don&apos

I do not think this clinic has exceptionally higher price but if I have to go again I would go somewhere else.
My cat was brought there for a second opinion because I want make the best decision for my cat’s condition. I don’t want to go over a long story but at the end of our appointment, Dr. Firth said “It is up to you, your cat is going to die anyway.” As soon as I heard this, my heart was so sour and I couldn’t believe this would come out from a doctor.
My cat passed away right beside me last year. I gave her a funeral and with all her family by her side. I treat her like my family

First time dog owner to a new puppy. Brought my puppy in for first exam and vaccinations with Dr. Sonya Firth. All the staff from the receptionist to the vet and the vet techs were all friendly and professional. The vet was knowledgeable and thorough in examining my dog and answered all the questions I had. I had an excellent experience while here. If only all doctors were as warm and welcoming as these women :) I don't think I've ever rated anything 5/5 stars but this is well deserved.

Cannot thank Dr. Loo and the entire staff enough for all their caring, compassion and help with our Charlie! When they say they will walk with you and your pet on your journey they really mean it - every step of the way! 11 years - two dogs later and we are still amazed by their love and support for animals and their owners!! You are the best!!!
