Mourning Glory staff treat every family as one of our own: Compassion with understanding is our gift to you. We have respect for the dead, providing care from a private residence, care home, or hospital to Mourning Glory. Staff are available to give information about our Services, to distribute Obituaries to papers across Canada, to assist you with completing forms, to give information about Grave Markers.
The Leadership Team along with the entire Mourning Glory staff will do their very best to assist you at your time of need. John Schachtel has worked in the funeral profession for 30 years. John has been dedicated to serving families for the last 25 years in Saskatoon. He is loved and appreciated because of his personal touch, his professionalism, and his genuine compassion.
At Mourning Glory let us reduce some of the anxiety by helping you prepare a funeral service in advance. Planning ahead give clear direction about your wishes, and allows you to provide required information and keep it on file so it is available when needed. Fill in as much as you are comfortable with and we'd be pleased to meet with you to discuss further.
What should I do first? Your first call should be to the funeral home where a licensed Funeral Director will assist you with the next steps - transferring your loved one into our care, arranging for a meeting time with the Executor and Family, creating a meaningful farewell service, and preparing for the final disposition at a cemetery or with a crematorium.

We had the honor of having Mourning Glory do our fathers funeral today. All I can say is thank you David and Greg . David put everything into perspective, made it so personal that we as a family had the knowledge on what was best for our dad. Greg you interpreted dads life beautifully and with a touch of humor . I must say very touching memorial graveside service ! Thank you to all the staff that made us feel right at home.
I highly recommend Mourning Glory, thank you ever so much!

My deepest thanks to John and his staff for their kind and compassionate care during our time of need. They were attentive to detail and efficient. The funeral cards turned out beautifully. They walked us through every aspect of preparing for my dad's funeral, which helped remove some of the stess. Your customer service is excellent. We appreciate all that you have done for us. Thank you!
