We needed things moved out of a small house to allow for some upgrades. They were able to schedule us on short notice (24 hours). Three lads showed up on time, moved everything needed promptly. They helped move things onto the truck and shifted things that were staying in the house to facilitate the work being done in our house.

Rent-A-Son was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jack, our coordinator was super conscious of our home and all of our items, taking special care to keep everything safe as possible. They were fast workers and very kind. They did a lot of groundwork before to assess the size of each space , and determine what was being moved. They were professional and a pleasure and we would definitely move with them again.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to these two teams and their lead that did a great job today from North York all the way to Bolton. These guys are nothing but professional, organized, time-efficient and hard-working. They braved the very cold weather today and put up a great feat, lifted, tagged and noted everything down. They came very well prepared.
They were able to fit 1 storage unit and a 1 bedroom condo unit into a small shipping container.
These guys definitely know how and what they were doing. Great display of team work and communication. Please let these guys know how they did today

The movers were diligent about following Covid protocols. They listened carefully to my instructions and executed like champions. They made difficult things look easy and took great care with our things. They were the very definition of "professionals" and set my new standard for movers. Note: I have hired half a dozen different movers before and these were, by far, the best to work with.

John, my moving coordinator, was friendly, informative and approachable right from the beginning. He answered a lot of questions and was always easy to reach. Rent-a-Son provides the most detailed estimate of any of the movers I approached about my move. The moving team itself was hands down the best moving crew I've ever worked with. They hustled from start to finish, were very strong and hard working. All three of them had great attitudes and a sense of humour (helpful on a move day!). The final cost came in under the estimate, which was a welcome surprise. You cannot go wrong booking your move

Yelled at me TO STOP GIVING HIM ATTITUDE. They were wrong and hired by somebody in my condo. This is over them blocking my street level parking spot that I own - hubby's due to come home with the car soon. They might be nice to YOU and RUDE to your neighbours.
This is what I wrote to them:
Your moving company that was hired by SOMEBODY ELSE in the building chose to block the parking spots owned by units 116 and 118. YOUR STAFF parked your moving truck on the street right in front of and completely blocking the street level parking spots WHICH WE OWN - this is a condo. I'm the owner of 116.

I moved with Rent-a-Son for the third time last week, and they were awesome. Three guys showed up, worked quickly with respect to my stuff, and got the job done in under the estimated time. Nothing broken, no walls or door frames scratched, everything was packed and wrapped safely and thoroughly. I highly recommend them!

We reciently had to move a few items from a storage facility in Toronto to Ottawa. We debated renting a truck ourselves and doing the work versus hiring movers. As one item that had to be moved was a piano, we chose movers. A quick google gave us Rent-a-Son. We hired them and it was not a mistake. I was lucky to have Amanda and my moving coordinator and she set everything up for me. She was helpful and was able to work with our schedule. I like to post reviews on Yelp because I do think this sight has more honest reviews in comparison to other sights. I was very pleased with Rent a Son's moving service they did for me about a month ago. They may not be the cheapest moving company out there but definitely are very reasonably priced in comparison to other insured companies and most importantly, they honour their estimates with no surprises. - when there was a slight issue it was resolved promptly and effectively by the head office

- movers did not communicate that they were taking a lunch break between locations, they were quick but we were confused and thought they got lost
- slightly overpriced compared to other companies
Overall a very positive experience - would recommend and use again

We used Rent-a-Son when moving from our home in early June (2011) and were very pleased at the level of service these "sons" provided. After moving 5+ times in the past 10 years, my wife and I have had our fair share of movers and I have to say that this was one of the most efficient and stress free experiences we've had. The two young men who took care of us were polite, friendly and extremely careful with some of our more ornate antique furniture.
I would recommend these bright, responsible young lads to anybody looking for an easy breezy moving experience!
