Services
By now if you have realized just how many Masonry Contractors there are in Toronto & the GTA. It is hard to pick one that is reliable and will absolutely stand behind their product that is long lasting and stands up to Toronto's long winter months. Below are reasons why you should consider making A&A Masonry your Reliable Masonry Professional for all your exterior restorations needs.
A&A Masonry is an award-winning Toronto based firm specializing in almost everything exterior. Our mission is to offer a unique and reliable service in anything exterior within the Greater Toronto Area, differentiating ourselves from the competition by means of always delivering what we promise, on time and on budget.
What is the difference between paving stones, brick pavers, and interlocking pavers? A paver is a stone, concrete block or brick used to lay on a flat surface to make a patio, driveway or walkway. The best types of pavers are those that will interlock with the sand placed between them. These manufactured paving stones come in a wide range of shapes and colours coordinated to produce a paving pattern once installed.
A completely custom fireplace design using traditional stone becomes the focal point of any room. This also adds comfort and value to your home. When the festive season starts or there is a bit of a chill in the air your custom stone or brick fireplace will give comfort and bring a sense of peace for years to come and of course it's a great place to hang your stockings!
Tuckpointing, brick pointing or just pointing as some call it, is removing the old and damaged mortar by chiselling it out of the joints and replacing it with new mortar creating a new protective seal which helps preserve the bricks from further damage and avoiding costly future repairs.

Tuckpointing is part of brick restoration, after damaged brick is replaced it is important to tuckpoint any joints that do not have mortar filled in their joints. This is a must to keep out water, humidity, and moisture, preventing damage to the bricks. One of the challenges for tuckpointing is to colour match the original colour of the mortar joints so that it is not so noticeable and blends in with the existing brickwork.

Very pushy sales. They want you to commit to a contract before they will even send anyone out to show you samples. Quoted phone rate is 3 times as much as competitors. They're out to fleece you.
Update: seems they fired the sales rep over this review before even reaching out to me to see if my complaint was valid. Now I'm being harassed by the bosses. I think that says all you need to know about how much this company values their staff and honesty. If they won't even give their staff the benefit of doubt, how much will they really care about your job?
Update 2: Odd tale being spun by management

When I began my search for a masonry company, I based my search on a few vital qualities. I wanted a company that had affordable prices, a company that will provide me with outstanding customer service, and a company that has integrity and takes pride in their work. A&A Masonry company has all the traits that I was looking for and more. Hayden, Kim, Jonathan, Alex, Libby and staff at A&A Masonry went over and beyond for me and my family and were very true to their word. If they say that they were coming on certain date, they were there on time. No matter how busy they might have been, they always

We had a great experience with A&A Masonry. We needed some tuck-pointing on our 60 year old house. Michael and Jonathan did a great job with the brickwork. In addition, they were polite, courteous and hard working. We were kept informed of their workflow and methodology, and dealing with them was a real pleasure. Also a shout out to Hazel, who first came out to inspect our house and give us a quote. She stayed in contact throughout the job and came out to see how the guys were doing. Also Libby in the office was very helpful. We were very pleased with the final result. We highly recommend A&A Masonry

Jon and Michael did a fantastic job on repointing our bungalow and replacing some bricks that were deteriorated. They communicated with me multiple times a day on where they were with the work progress and took care to clean up at the end of the day. The repointing work is excellent quality and the mortar matches the existing perfectly. Great company and great service.

Front Stairs Concrete Removal and Rebuild
A&A were a wonderful company to work with, Maryanna was an excellent client liaison, always quick to respond and providing us with up-to-date quotes and information, as well as knowledgable design recommendations. We had a very difficult project (busy street, small space, intensive concrete removal), but the team were quick to problem solve on their feet completed everything efficiently and professionally. We couldn't be happier with the final results—our staircase and new retaining wall look amazing as does the interlock on the landing and driveway

I had heard about A & A Masonry before. They are also a business listed by CFRB Radio's Home Improvement Host Frank Cohen. The Stonemason they sent was named Dwight. I thought the work was too much for one person to handle but Dwight continued slugging away for 13 hours and finished the work. The stones we had put on our front stairs were failing after 15 years and there were a number of bricks starting to break down on our over 40 years old house. Since we are a corner lot our home is exposed on 3 sides and a lot of snow, ice and rain damage occurs. I was very impressed by this very personable
