Mohns Avenue Veterinary Service
Dr. Guylaine Charette Dr. Charette has been practicing at PAH since 1984, and the most rewarding part of her job is experiencing the bond between her clients and their pets. To her, being a vet is about more than just medicine, it is about family. Building that relationship is so important to her, and she knows that to do so, she must go above and beyond what medicine can provide.

After receiving her Doctorat en Mdecine Vtrinaire from the Universit de Montral in 1984, Dr. Charette joined the PAH team. It was the first- and only- animal hospital she has ever worked at, and in 1986 she became a PAH partner. To this day she is still an owner of PAH, and has made a lifelong commitment to practice best medicine.
Services
Dogs and cats require at least one comprehensive veterinary health exam every year. Preventative health allows us to establish a baseline for your pet and to spot possible issues earlier in their development. If we do find any potential health problems, it is much easier (and more cost effective!) Keeping your pet vaccinated is a crucial component of preventative health care.
AAHA accreditation is a voluntary process - we chose to be inspected and regulated in order to demonstrate our modern and compassionate practices. AAHA Accreditation is reserved for animal hospitals who demonstrate a very high standard of excellence in veterinary care - in fact, fewer than 15% of veterinary hospitals have chosen and qualified to be AAHA accredited!
Dog Healthcare Plans Making a difference in the lives of pets, and the people who love them! Our Healthcare Plans are your pet's "Stay Well Plan." These plans help you save money on the preventive care you are already planning for your furry family member with affordable monthly payments. There are no age limits and no pet will be turned down.
Look for a carrier with proper ventilation, made of sturdy plastic, with a front door and, ideally, with a top that can be lifted out of. Place the open carrier in an undisturbed area where your cat likes to spend time. With time, your cat will get used to it. Place a piece of clothing with your scent in the carrier.
The single most difficult decision a pet owner has to make is whether or not it is time to euthanize a pet. It is so hard to think about, but sometimes the only compassionate decision is to ease suffering through euthanasia. The decision to euthanize is always yours to make. If you are unsure whether it is right for your pet, you may want to discuss your feelings with your veterinarian.

So my dog Betty has been seeing this hospital for 7 years. She has not eaten in three days so I asked if they would look at her. Because of covid they stoped doing nail trims and grooming so I asked for my records to be sent to someone who could do that. Now I’m told I’m not a customer anymore and there is nothing they can do for me.
Absolutely floored my dog actually needs them now and they won’t see her.
Do not recommend this place at all!!!

Once again PAH and their staff go above and beyond for us. They managed to save our Leroy in early 2020 and this morning they treated his brother, Tank for urinary crystals. Tank was in agony early this morning and I left a voicemail hoping they would be able to see us at some point in the day. An hour before open they had already returned my call asking for me to bring him in immediately, before it got too bad. We are incredibly grateful that the vets and their team always send us home feeling grateful for their care and that we get more time with our babies.

Great place. super friendly staff and the dog actually likes going there, so i know they are nice to her, even though she hates getting her nails trimmed. also extremely patient and will spend lots of time giving advice or answering questions. while they aren't open 24/7 they do have a deal for emergency services and when my dog ate grapes they took her in right away. great place to get your pet into. prices are also pretty reasonable i think.

My experience was very sad. But the staff was so very nice and friendly. But it was sad and hard for me to put my little baby Lucky down. They are so comforting and passionate with giving me their Condolences. I would love to be a part of the staff. They were even opened to Energy Work of Reiki Healing Energy on Lucky during the procedure. Not many Animal Hospitals are Accepting of this work.

Big thank you to Dr. Paquette and the amazing staff at Pembroke Animal Hospital. Our dog had a run-in with a porcupine last evening and the team at PAH went above and beyond to ensure our girl received the individualized care she needed. As a pet owner, I am so grateful for the caring, dedicated and kind-hearted people looking after my fur baby. They are truly amazing!

We took our dogs Sophie & Oliver to Pembroke Animal Hospital for their first appointment in the area. The vet was so very kind and took the time to discuss the visit over the phone. She was friendly, clear, and concise. They were helpful in sending out an estimate on paper for future visits required. All the techs were super friendly and kind as well. Thank you so much for making our first experience so wonderful. We'll be back 😁

Dedicated staff, friendly service at anytime plus multiple offices.
We are new to the area and wondered if we'd find a great new animal hospital for our pets and we got lucky with our 1st call.
Their rates are reasonable.
