Channel letters are custom-made metal or plastic letters commonly used in exterior signage on public and commercial buildings, ususally illuminated with LED's. A frame or external structure of a box-like sign that encloses the various functional elements of the sign, such as electrical or dimensional components.

Custom hand formed shaped signs are a combination of a light box sign and channel letters with continuously connecting letters, using LED's for illumination.
