Services
Anxiety is our response to mental demands that we place on ourselves. It can feel like being afraid, without being able to identify anything specific in our external world that is scaring us. Anxiety can arise from the perception of danger or threats to our safety in our external environment, when no danger or threat actually exists.
Stress is our response to any kind of social, emotional or physical demand placed on our lives. Our ability to cope with these challenges can cause strain, in turn affecting us both mentally and physically. Some physical effects of stress can include digestive problems, skin conditions, muscle tension and backaches, frequent headaches, jaw clenching, and being more susceptible to infection.
Emotional Intensity refers to having rapidly changing, overwhelming moods marked by emotional extremes such as feeling upset or angry. This can affect one's ability to manage or cope, often leading to relationship problems, impulsive decisions, or self-harm. Individuals experiencing Emotional Intensity may feel empty and unsure of who they are.
