Lambrick Park Preschool & Childcare (LLP&C) has been operating in the Gordon Head area of beautiful Victoria since 1970, licensed in 1972. We employ fully qualified (and amazing!) Early Childhood Educators and we believe in the 'learning through play' philosophy.
As a member of the Vancouver Island Co-operative Preschool Association (VICPA), we are also a parent-participation preschool; our families administer our non-profit society and have the opportunity to participate in the classroom.We invite you to explore our website. Services
A parent participation preschool is organized by a group of families with similar philosophies who hire a trained teacher to provide their children with a quality preschool experience. Parents, children, and their teachers all learn together. At Lambrick Park Preschool & Childcare, we provide a learning environment where children learn through play.
Our preschool, so named because of its location, held its first class in May of 1970 and was located in the Gordon Head United Church on Torquay Drive. A small group of mothers headed by the first president and the first teacher, organized and "begged, borrowed and bought" materials to set up the first class of less than 15 children.
We offer a wide range of preschool programs for children ages 30 months to five years. Our programs include a class for 3-year-olds, a class for 4-year-olds, as well as flexible afternoon and full day (9am - 3:15pm) options. In addition, we also offer summer fun camps for preschoolers in July and August.
Open ended art, singing and dancing, games, stories, science activities, dramatic play, and time outside in our well-equipped playground are just some of the activities that will be included in the LPP&C summer camps!

Like other parent-participation preschools, we fundraise to help provide excellent staffing, quality equipment and supplies, and exciting special events. Fundraising events also help to foster a sense of community and provide our families with opportunities to get to know one another better. A fun evening in November, which generates the majority of our fundraising budget and promotes a strong sense of community in our preschool.

Our experience with Lambrick Park Preschool and Childcare has completely exceeded our expectations.
Teacher Rhonda has to be one of the very best - if not THE best - Early childhood Educator in Victoria. She holds an unwaveringly positive regard for all the children. She demonstrates great insight into the children's temperaments and day-to-day… behaviour, and meets them where they are at developmentally and emotionally. She is fun, inventive, flexible, very caring and an excellent communicator. Teacher Sara couldn't be any more kind, warm or attentive. Her gentle friendliness adds a feeling
