We offer a full range of design and build landscape services for Nanaimo and Vancouver Island. One of the first products, we offer is meeting with you and discussing design. By getting a feel for what you are looking for, we can create your vision and give you the landscape you've dreamed of. The design process is the most important step, as it allows us to create a visual representation.
Now, we realise that the first response will be they must be expensive. This is not actually the case, alot of our clients have been impressed on how we are cheaper and more creative than other landscaping quotes they have received. Whilst the homes rear entrance opens out to enclosed fireplace area, we were able to carefully sculpt the old garden and turn it into a multi-leveled stunning living space with garden beds, lawn, and enclosed hot tub all designed to give maximum usability to this back yard.By working with the client we were able to deliver the landscaping vision that he had in mind.

Whilst being minutes from Nanoose Bay, this contemporary home features multi-leveled landscaping to accommodate the many different grades. Despite this Nanoose Bay property being situated on quite a small lot near Dolphin Lake, our aim was still to create a landscape with many different aspects. 52000lbs of Rundle 3-5 hand stacked retaining walls built around front yard to create a level landscaped area.

I can't say enough positive things about "Creative by Design Landscaping" owned and operated by Phil Colenutt. Landscaping was creative and artistic. Quotes were fair and stuck to. As well as a hard worker and reliable his communication skills were excellent so you knew exactly what was happening. Halfway through the project I had hired him to do I added another. No problem!

We had been through a horrific house building process that left us with extreme distrust for contractors and tradesmen. However, we still needed to complete our extensive landscaping. We hired Creative by Design Landscaping to redevelop our backyard in late Spring of 2017. We needed to fix drainage issues, tear out a rotting patio and manage multiple levels of a very sloped yard.
