When a person dies with or without a will, his or her estate will need to be administered appropriately. Someone may prove (probate) his or her authority to deal with all of the assets and liabilities of the deceased person. This might involve a will or not. It might involve a court application, or not.
There are also many questions that will arise from each individual person's situation and the nature of his or her assets. Let us help you review the issues and plan the will that will give effect to your real considered intentions. Even if your estate is more complex, we can also assist with a detailed comprehensive estate plan.
Not every conflict requires a fight or even litigation. Whether it is an Estate issue, a Family Law issue, a Business, Commercial or other dispute, the best and most cost effective resolution is almost always through mediation or related processes such as collaborative law. The role of a mediator is not to judge your case.
A line from Robert Frost reads: 'Good fences make good neighbors'. By the same token a properly drawn contract should clearly indicate what is yours and what belongs to your neighbour. As your lawyer, I can help you navigate apparent boundaries and create a contract that suits your needs. Although the issues are different, the process is similar whether it is a commercial contract, a lease, a purchase agreement or a separation agreement.
