Canadian Maritime Engineering Ltd. (CME) has full-service facilities on both the East and West coasts of Canada to meet your needs. On the West coast, we have our Esquimalt Marine Dry dock, which is a full-service dry dock 357 meters by 48.4 meters. Our most recent additions to the CME family of Marine services is our facility in Port Alberni, BC where we have two 150 ton slipways and one 250 ton dry dock.
CME manufactures small steel work boats and tugs for the logging industry. These powerful vessels range in size from 15 feet up to 30 feet, the most common of these vessels we build and sell are the 18 foot super winders. They are 18 feet in length with a beam of 8 feet and draft. These boats chart the ever-changing river bottom to facilitate the dredging programs.
Our balancing and alignment facilities are run by skilled technicians who are able to achieve accurate results with quick turnarounds. Maritime Engineering Ltd (CME) has special equipment for checking and precision leveling of mechanical equipment at installation and laser alignment instrumentation to assess coupling/shaft alignment amount of 'out of plane' or 'out of straightness' to.0001 inch.
