We believe that every life lived - is worthy of a celebration. A funeral is time of honouring the dignity of the life lived and helps provide a special time for family and friends to share in their own expression of remembering, love and appreciation. A funeral is a meaningful event that can help ease the pain of separation, which naturally accompanies a death.

Licensed Funeral Directors of The Stettler Funeral Home where every life lived is worthy of a celebration. Cremation is an increasingly popular option for many people, serving as an alternative to burial. Reasons for preferring cremation vary. Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation and is followed by a funeral service.

A loved one's passing often leaves us feeling adrift. While most elect to hold some type of memorial service, the breadth of options available can be overwhelming. We want to make it easier. We are here to help you create a service that befits the life of your loved one. This section contains useful information about funeral options, what to do when death occurs, information on writing an obituary, and recommended funeral etiquette.
You are welcome to call us any time of the day, any day of the week, for immediate assistance. Or, visit our funeral home in person at your convenience. We understand that there are many questions that arise when a death occurs. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer questions you may have and provide direction.
Whether a death is sudden or expected, the loss of a loved one is indescribable. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering. This section seeks to guide you through the immediate hours following a passing. If the person was not under hospice care, the police will have to be notified immediately.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation and is followed by a funeral service. While the casket is typically present at both these events, it is your decision whether to have the casket open. You then have a number of options for interment. Decisions also need to be made on whether the body needs to be embalmed, what kind of casket to use, what cemetery to use and what to put on the gravestone.
