Now is the time for your hardwoods, shrubs or pine trees to be thinning and cleaned up for spring. The interior structures are clearly recognized and thinning is easily performed this time of year. With the added benefit, the trees respond in the spring, with vigorous new growth. This is the time of year when we focus on the thinning and pruning of your evergreens.
Trees will show signs of stress and damage. Changes in a tree's appearance can tell you a lot of things. Look for changes in leaf color, mis-shapen leaves, thinning of the canopy and early loss of leaves. Contact a Certified Arborist if you notice visible changes as described above - this may catch any disease or insect before it has a chance to do serious harm to your tree or spread to other trees.
Are they Insured? Cody Tree Service gladly provides documented proof of liability insurance and WCB coverage as part of every estimate. Does the company employ an environmentally friendly approach to fulfill the duties they provide?. Are they municipally approved? Municipally approved contractors are allowed to remove or prune trees located on municipal land.

We had an issue with having our cedar trees cut poorly - twice. After speaking with the owner, someone came out today and gave us a complete refund, plus fertilized our cedars and left us with the remainder of a bag of fertilization for future use. We were very frustrated and felt we were being ignored, but I must say, the owner went far and beyond service for us. We did not expect a refund, we had agreed to have the fertilize the cedars. Thank you so much for what you did for us. We will certainly give your company another chance.

I have had 4 different interactions with Cody Tree service at this point. The services have included: Deep Fertilizing a tree, Doing a treatment on another tree for bronze birch borer, removing a large tree in my back yard, and spraying a large fir tree. The fertilizing and treatment were reasonably priced, quoted efficiently and carried out in a timely manner (I assume, I wasn't actually present). The Removal of the large tree was quoted quickly and the work done was done very well.
My only complaint, and the reason I did not give them five stars is that getting them actually in to do the bigger

Original Review: Our Strata has used Cody's Tree Service for years. In the past, the work quality was superior. But this year, it was less than acceptable.
The globe cedars were improperly shaped, or not done on all sides - and some were not done at all. The cedar hedges were uneven, and sloping. We had them return to redo the job, but it was no better. In the past, they always left the property clean - and free of debris, but that was not the case this time.
I don't know if there are new owners, or if they just are hiring unskilled employees, but it's not the quality or service we have come
