I have been woodworking since I was 14 years old. Over the years I've honed my skills in furniture making and finish carpentry. I continually practice my craft and expand my knowledge so that my customers get the highest quality products. I have had the pleasure of spending time in England restoring 18th century furniture and woodwork in listed historic homes.

Bayview Escarpment Fine Furniture and Cabinetry is about bringing your furniture to life, the way you want it. To do that, you need someone who listens carefully, has the knowledge and vision to create plans and drawings, recommend design features, and who has the skill to build it.
The arms, backs, and rear spindles are hand riven from a large log before being dimensioned and shaped by hand, endowing them with both delicacy and strength. The seat is hand-hewn into an extremely comfortable saddle or dish shape, cradling the user. The height of the legs can be adjusted to meet your individual needs.
To truly appreciate the comfort, beauty, and quality of any one of the stools in the Meaford Collection, you need to see it up close and to sit on it. Only then will you really understand why it is the finest stool you will ever own. Since stool height is determined by where it will be used, and because everyone is looking for just the right look, each stool is custom made to meet your needs and tastes.
Owning a hand-built, custom made chair is rare pleasure in this day and age. Chair making requires a host of skills many furniture makers forgo, and crafting a Windsor chair requires the mastery of an additional set of skills. I am one of the few traditional Windsor chair makers in Canada. I make these chairs one at a time, to your specifications, in my shop in Grey County, Ontario.
